Need to move turtle tank from Kitchen to LR,this should be fun :(..but on a plus will free up more space in the kitchen so I can set up the dining table again *cheer*
  • The chair (and parts of me!) are now bright pink. I hope it won't need another coat as it was very fiddley. Having a cuppa and then I'll cover the seat part. Its going to need a layer of white cotton (old sheet) under the material that goes with her quilt and curtains. Tomorrow afternoon it might be done and be all coordinated.
I've got a couple of fancydress princess outfits on the line. Got the off ebay for DD for christmas. Must remember to bring them in and hide them before I collect her.
Pondering on going shopping-my town is in chaos at the mo due to roadworks on the bridge so I may stay on this side of the river and go to Mr T in the next town along. It has high class charity shops too so I may go and see what I can find.
    July grocery- 24.40/220. NSD-1/3.
Myself, DD, 2 cats, 35 weeks pregnant.

On a similar vein, I got very cross yesterday. I got a letter from the NHS about DS2's vaccinations which was a complete waste of time, paper, resources and money. It was pre printed with "an appointment has been made for you at..." and then printed next to it, it said "phone surgery for appointment". What is the point of that? How effing ridiculous. I don't usually have any complaints with the NHS (apart from my useless GP surgery) and rely on them heavily but it annoys me to the point of anger when they waste money on things like this while paying nurses a pittance. Blah. [/rant]

I got a letter changing DD4s appointment from 4:10 to 4:15.. her brother had the 4:00 appointment so we were there anyway.. hideous waste of money!!

  • Spiders lol.. we went foraging for a bag of pine cones for the 'C' word at the weekend? Emptied them out on Suday to spray them gold and every creepy crawly imaginable scuttered across the kitchen floor! That's a lesson learned at 31 year old :rotfl:

    Morning all!

So far this morning I have been to the doctors, had a health interview with the pharmacist (just what I needed I must admit i was quite facetious!) and am now on antibiotics as Dr thinks I may have an infection and that's why my tummy is so sore. OH has just made me toast ans coffee and I'm off back to bed, did not sleep well last night at all. She also gave me some buscopan for the tummy cramps as my IBS is giving me HELL

    Oh joy

Morning all – sat at work full of cold but because there’s only me here and boss every now and then I’ve dragged my weary bones in. Wish I worked in a bigger place where you can actually have sick days! Anyway onwards and upwards.

LL – ouch – take care my lovely, hope the scan results are ok when you get them
Toots – did you get my [STRIKE]drunken [/STRIKE]slightly tipsy e-mail wishing you a happy birthday? Hope you have a good day at Cornhill
Mudders – poor stripes – hope it all goes ok
Dippy – gawd woman you don’t do things by half do you! Hope it throbs less today
Piggers- yikes that hurts and will hurt even more when they soak the nail off
Valli – sane and sensible, somehow those two words don’t match you! :rotfl:
Cycling – you have all my sympathy my XH used to snore like mad, had to get to sleep before him!
Kazm – saorry you are feeling down – let off steam here whenever you want. You’ve all listened to me and have been a great source of comfort
Msg – glad you got out of the bath! Now all you need is gentle walk for 10 minutes a day
Aj – hope the pain has eased

Well that’s it my mind is a blank. Had a major clean downstairs at the weekend as DD2 and Chloe were out for the weekend. So I could in theory cross off yesterdays and today’s list.

Danny has got engaged! He kept that secret! His girlfriend went over to Munchengladbach for a long weekend and he proposed outside the Cathedral. They were going to keep it a secret till next month when he comes home for his medals ceremony in Richmond (North Yorkshire one) but she wanted to obviously wear her ring! DD2’s house that her dad bought is taking FOREVER to finish! They have now been told the boiler is condemned so her Dad is getting quotes for a new one. Looks good though now that the new kitchen and bathroom are in and the place has been decorated and carpeted. New electric oven is not wired in though and the sockets in the kitchen aren’t fixed to the wall before the had to tile. So they obviously can’t move in with no hot water, heating or oven. We will miss Chloe like mad when they do go – DD2 – err not so sure! LOL
