I did post on the thread to say that I would be referring it to the team for a decision

it is the weekend and the team don't work 24/7 and they also receive 1000's of abuse reports over a weekend

why was another thread necessary while waiting for that decision?

I would like to add my voice to this. I cannot see any good reason for specifically targetting these menopause threads when they are no different from many others that are allowed to continue unabated. With great respect, please reconsider, we really need this resource.

This is what I don't understand about this debate to be honest - if you want to save a few quid on absolutely anything then mse is clearly the place to be but if you are concerned about symptoms of anything in life be it menopause or whatever why wouldn't you find a forum for this? Lots of forums exist that will let you chat and discuss anything - why insist that it is this one?

Are people so stuck to mse that they cannot go and find different and far more appropriate resources than a money saving site?
  • Well Nelski you are entitled to your opinion and it is as valid as mine or anyone elses. However, when I see threads like the one supporting sufferers of depression which run to thousands of posts, where only a small proportion have anything to do with money saving, I have to question why a thread supporting women dealing with the menopause is subject to such strong moderation. Anyway that is just my thoughts.

 - and this is not an angry face, it's a having a hot flush face:rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: fair enough it will come to us all I guess  Maybe a moneysaving angle could be the lack of heating needed :o Always been a hot person so could be interesting :)

Seriously though I think you have a point in that a lot of threads particularly in the family areas become chat and very not a huge amount to do with money saving. There only seems to be one BG who really keeps an eye on this and I guess its impossible to keep on top of everything particularly in the long running chat threads. Its a shame people are so anti the discussion time where ok you will get some daft boys posting but they get bored quickly and you could end up with the thread you want.

Would you say that to someone who has just posted in the depression forum who has self- harmed? - I took a wander over there earlier on today & someone did post that.

Do you really need it explained to you?

That is so insensitive a statement it's almost cruel.

I guess I do......how is someone desperate for help/suicidal and clearly not in the right state of mind anything aligned to menopausal women who as you have made a point of stating are normal?????

Its a shame you felt the need to bring such a very sad example in to support your argument

You made that comparison & not I.

I din't expect you or anyone to agree with all the posts, all of the time but I do feel that you are blindly making statements that are insensitive & quite unnecessary - I do not think you are adding to the debate at all.
