The Menopause Matters Thread

I understand the difference. But it seems as if my original question won`t be answered..that is, why the thread was closed in the first place. The inferrence of `medical advice` is spurious because nobody gave any.
I restate my points and leave it at that.
Personal opinion....there does seem to be a bias against discussion of menopause related matters on this forum and indeed, there are other threads that have little or nothing to do with moneysaving absolutely thriving here. But should anyone show any emotional or practical support for any woman going through the menopause they are consistently warned to keep it MS, which makes a farce out of almost every post, or the thread is shut down without so much as a why.
I understand that none of my issues about this will make the slightest difference and find that sad.
This site from my viewpoint, has a great deal of very good, genuine and helpful people on here.
But like every forum online, there are a few mods/admin/whatever they call themselves, who play god with threads yet feel no obligation to explain themselves.
I give up, and won`t post here again, which I`m sure others won`t think any great loss, but I haven`t got the energy to waste on pettiness, which is what this seems to be turning into, based on a very real, serious issue for so many women.
Thanks for your time to respond to this.
if its a serious issue then post on a forum that is focused to it
this is not the menopausal saving expert forum
the forum like others has rules. so follow them or strop about it0 -
just want to reiterate red does posts and see no reason for the rudeness
we HAVE contacted a board guide re this and await hearing back from them when they can. we just want an explanation as to the apparently inequality in rule enforcement
It isn't a BG you need to contact but the main forum team, see earlier post. The BG might not have even seen this thread at all.
I am a female and due to a very serious life threatening illness have had issues well before the usual age. However, do I think MSE is the best place to talk about it? No I don't, if I want to talk about such personal matters I go to a dedicated forum where I can talk about it properly with like minded people and where the rules allow me to talk about what I need to find out, in some depth.
It is a shame that anyone would choose to leave a useful website like MSE purely because they have a thread removed. I do not define my self by any 'condition' I have or do not have and i think it a backwards move that anyone in this day and age does.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.. Please note that Ambassadors are not moderators. Why has this been repeated again when the antagonists have been clearly and politely told it will be looked at when the team are in????
You are doing yourself no favours Red Doe if you want a civilised discussion on a subject then fair enough but you have created a very big mountain out of a molehill - I will be very surprised if any menopause thread is allowed now and for that you have yourself and your pals to thank0 -
Firstly I think it is a bit of a sweeping statement to say that no menopause threads will be allowed just because someone puts up a spirited but polite argument in defence of them. I would also like to point out that we are not all pals just because we agree on a view point. I have never spoken to or even heard of Red Doe or the others before.I will be very surprised if any menopause thread is allowed now and for that you have yourself and your pals to thank
However, I respect your right to your opinion.Haters are gonna hate - you're not obliged to participate0
