But there won't be any children/people with special needs because they'll have all had their DLA taken off them. Cynical, moi! :p

Glad, does that mean for eg... If I am talking to Mfd on here and she lives down the road from me... We're planning to meet up for a walk round Ikea and last time we met I left something in her car, she's not allowed to say to me "Oh I'll bring <that thing you left in my car> when we meet up"

    Bit petty that really...

And not very :money: - what if you had to text her instead?

OMG half a million public sector jobs?!?!?

That's exactly what I meant when I asked.

  • hmmm...not looking forward to the effect this is going to have on my work :(. Assuming I have a job, I can't imagine that my colleague who goes off on ML in Feb will have maternity cover - that will about double my already overly heavy workload.

Hi SS, you saw another baby girl that looked full of mischief?! :rotfl:

Wee James is doing well, I've just been on the phone about going up to see him later today. Hopefully he'll be home soon, they've had the hospital out checking the house over and making arrangements for oxygen etc when he does come home. :A

Hi Helen, I can't believe our babies are nearly one  It's gone so quickly.

Many of those will automatically go with the quangos they axed last week I reckon...

...which should in turn create a proportion of those jobs in the public sector undertaking the same functions...

...and anyone who works with the public sector in any way will know that there is a huge amount of inefficiency and red tape/arris covering which creates the need for huge amounts of (ultimately unnecessary) members of staff.

They have already slashed a ton of the stupid targets which required tons of arris covering, it stands to reason that there will be less need to have as many employees.
