After clearing the street yesterday, it's now under about 4" of snow again. The temp is currently -9°C.
Doesn't look like I'm going to get out to work today
Both schools are shut so the bairns are happy! Here I go again on my own....0 -
Oh our schools are now showing as closed now :rotfl: glad I didn't run around getting ready now.
Just had the weather, they're reporting high temperatures of -5 :eek:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

It's still snowing here, albeit lightly. I'm planning to take Henry to a toddler group this morning. We've never been before but it's walking distance so I'm willing to give it a go!
Henry might be going to his Grandparents tonight. We're going to wait and see how the roads look.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Do I go back to bed for an hour then take Amber to hospital or do I have a shower?
It's bloods day. And I'm going to ask them to tell me if there is anything I need to know... or I'll worry all weekend and honestly, I am tired of worrying.0 -

Tia - If it were me, I would write a list of specific questions I wanna know answers to...
Such as
Why are we repeating bloods today?
If levels are high, what does that mean?
What is the recommended course of treatment?
If levels are low etc.....?
Dr's have a habit of not realising that because they deal with it day in day out, and inherently know what all these things mean/dont mean that to a parent this is an anxious experience, with no background knowledge and so we need information rather than vagueness....
Ask for an explanation of what all this means as to the effect on her body, if there is anything that can be done at home alongside medication such aschanges to diet etc.... Although that q would pobs depend on what they tell you is happening....
Dont be afraid to ask questions until you feel you understand, write it down as theyre talking if you need to.....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

I am thinking of asking the Practice Wife to cut it. She is a hairdresser and it saves me having to drag him anywhere (and pay LOL)

having a cleaning day today. will report back later xr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
don't blame you I would if I could.
School is open today - they are mental but eldest has been sick all night so one of the other mums is taking little un in and picking him up for me.
OH made it home last night, he bought one of the lorry tractor units home because otherwise he would have had to wait over an hour for a lift in the 4x4. He then got it stuck at the end of our road, he was mad to bring it in our street. Once him and several neighbours dug him out he parked it out on the main road. Then he walked to ASDA for me so I now have some food and plenty of baby milk phew.0 -
Aless - God luck with cleaning day...
I feel obliged to do something productive this morning as my plan to break free this avo still stands.....
So I reckon I can manage :
Washing up
Hoovering (its never ending here....)
Load of washing
Put clothes on airer
Empty L's bath and wash it out....
Might leave it there and see how I (read L) get on LOLWealth is not measured by currency0
