Jillie.. the problem is me and my memory, I know what the problem is, my doc explained it perfectly, but can I remember! My god does it ever get better after having a baby?!

Oh ladies, what a day I'm having! My sister in law has been checking up on my brother, she reactivated his FB account last night and he's less than happy that she doesn't trust him - not that I blame him, I'd be wondering how many other times she'd checked up on me but not been found out! Then I got a letter demanding £90 asap from over paid housing benefit - dating back two years!!! I haven't got any statements or proof or records or anything going back that long, but I know damn well that as soon as hubs moved in (I can't even remember the date, it's been that long!), we notified everyone (I was a single mum on benefits up til getting with hubs) and he took over housing and council tax payments the week he moved in - I just can't prove it :mad::mad: Have rang the housing benefit people, spoke to a lovely lady who said they're having to chase up any unpaid bills to make up the money that they've lost in budget cuts etc, and dozens of people have rang to complain. Well I'm not complaining as such, if it turns out that somehow we do owe the money, it will be paid as soon as we can, but I understand the people who are refusing point blank to pay it!! So she's put a hold on the bill, I rang our landlords (anyone who knows me knows how much I hate phoning people ) and they can't tell us who's paid what or when but apparently we're £50 in credit, neither of us can understand how when £50 isn't what I was paying to top up the HB OR what we pay now! So my thinking is that LL were paid twice in one week, by us and by HB and just decided to keep quiet and hope no-one noticed - sneaky but it worked, no-one has noticed til now! They're sending us a list of every payment that's been made since I've lived here (4 years) so hopefully we can get to the bottom of it when that arrives!


Phew, and breathe!! I'm so stressed today, there's other stuff going on too, and not sleeping properly isn't helping...

Cutterby - could it be as a result of how the HB is paid? For example if it is paid 2 weeks in arrears and 2 weeks in advance (mid month so to speak) then the change might have been made on the system and they just never bothered to claim the money back from you earlier?

Hope you get it sorted anyway - don't stress - if they are doing a random fishing exercise for more cash they are hardly going to send the bailiffs around.



Has everyone here who wants it been given access to the MSE FB group? I hate to think that anyone is being left out...shout up if you need access.

If you find out the proper name for it, is there any way you could google for any alternatives?
My vague understand of biology is blood is continuously made, so something must go on in that process for you to get high levels? or i picks up the higher levels on its travels round your body?

I hope you get to the bottom of it cutterby!! And try to get some sleep, even if you have to grab a nap in the day...everything is worse when tired.

Haven't had chance to catch up...

I had a phone call from docs this mornng. I was supposed to have my postnatal check on Mon but they "forgot" to tell me!!!!!:mad::mad::mad:

mine gave me a 4 wk course of tablets saying 'you have had a bug in your tummy, take these'.........

my mum's dr is fab and tells her exactly what prob might be/is what the meds are for etc

When I go to see my GP I often check the clinical knowledge summaries before I go. (Mine is pretty good though - he even asked how Alice's cough was when I went about my iron levels a couple of days after I'd been about Alice.)

Yeh I will look into alternatives, they have prescribed me 2 diff types of pills for the time being which I havent even bothered picking up (and doubt I will!) I have tried some other therapies, but I am hopefully going to have some reiki to help my back so I might ask the reikiologist (my gosh what do you call people who practise reiki?!!) if she can do anything as she practises allsorts of alternative therapies, might even get her to check T over, I am curious if she can help with his colic?!
