Becles, I was born in 1979...I don't recall that garage being in the house though;) My older brother loved cars, his favourite game was lining them all up, which took ages as he had hundreds, then picking ones out to go to car graveyard...this involved being taken into the garden, smashed up with a hammer, and buried:cool:

Everything is got now for the little two for christmas, well got and ordered:D

Just the two big spoilt ones to do now... what do you get the kids who have everything?
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Amber is evil! She is nipping me and giggling!

And I've lost her amber necklace. I took it off when she was ill and can't remember where I put it. I'm sure it will turn up.

Happy Grinch is obviously entitled to nip anyone she chooses. Who could argue with that face?!

Mel, I think kids who have everything need warm socks and an Oxfam goat ;) otherwise new games for a console they have and those XBox points?

I know I should go docs... I'm still waiting to have my postnatal check!!! I haven't had a very good time with NHS this past year so don't want to deal with them unless I really have to:mad:
when you say waiting what do you mean? (i know that sounds stupid :p) have you made an appointment for one? Here you make your own app so maybe your MW forgot to tell you/assumed you knew who it worked.:)

The school was even better than it looked on paper, mum said, "he's coming here!!" :rotfl:She was very impressed, I have a feeling she'll be telling her head teacher ALL about it
I was super impressed with it too, we were really lucky that the Head showed us around, Y6 pupils were doing most of the tours but they were all busy when we got there so she said she'd do it.
She asked the Y5's to tell us what was good about coming to that school and the first one asked said "we all have reverence for each other" I'm glad she asked her what that meant because OH and I didn't know :o:rotfl: (it means profound respect) Another boy from his nursery was there with his mum who works in the pre school room too was there, I hope they both get in so we both have a friend ready on the first day :p
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

And I know I'll probably get a few "tut tuts"... we made the jumperoo last night and Daisy loves it!!!!:j:j:jYes she's only 9 weeks (tomorrow) BUT she's one of those annoying babies who could support her head from birth and is very very strong for her age. DS was exactly the same and was walking by 9/10 months so it looks like Daisy is going to be the same:eek: And just to add before anyone says she's too young - I would never let her do anything she's not capable of!:p

She jumps already in it with the biggest grin ever!:D:D:D I highly recommend the Jumperoo;)

No tuts here, T has things that say 3 years on them! I dont see why as long as their supervised when playing with them, its not like they have small parts *shrugs*

CAFC, they are bizarre. I feel sorry for the poor lad who's modelling one on the web site. Have you thought about doing some kind of natural/alternative therapy course? You seem quite into that sort of thing.

Urgh at the weather, OH got to ride home in too.

Agree poor lad, hope his mum doesnt start showing it around when he's older, and the weather is grim here too, can here the wind blowing about outside brrrr!

becles - my lil bro had that garage or at least very similar and I loved playing with the lift hehe.

Bumblebee - thanks for sharing the pic, she is very lovely x

Krytstal - Glad to here C was an angel, hope you rest lots after your tiring day.

SS - T likes to grab her bits when naked too!

Cant remember much else, head is still fuzzy but thanks for the feel better vibes x Now to take T away from the TV/DVD she is pressing buttons and has just removed the memory stick and started chewing it... Noooooooooo!!!

    Question about mealtimes...

I'm just about to try and make one of the recipes from CFR for the other half and me and it got me thinking - at the moment OH doesn't get home from work til 7pm. This is too late for the kids to eat so I make theirs for 5pm and then I tend to eat with OH. A lot of times I end up making 2 seperate meals as either the kids won't eat what we are having (this is a seperate issue that I am trying to tackle!) or it means that OH's meal has to be reheated in the microwave and some meals can't be reheated!
How does everyone else work mealtimes if OH doesn't arrive home til later?

I'm having a huge guilty mum crisis...

Aimee's school is having an "inspire day" tomorrow, where parents go in and join in activities... I've always gone before, but for the last one Caitlyn was in the pushchair and was whinging all the time, D had the day off by coincidence and ended up taking her home... He's not going to be here tomorrow though, and Caitlyn's patience has not improved any... The easiest thing to do would be not go, and there's loads of children who's parents work so they don't go in... But I feel so sad for my big girl not having her Mum there...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

ethelmum - at the moment I'm home with Finn, so I cook early to be reading for his dinner time. He eats and then DH & I eat the reheated dinner together (he also gets home around 7), which is right after Finn is in bed, so it works out well.

Occasionally what we're eating isn't really appropriate, so I'll make Finn's dinner and then while he's eating, cook ours to eat later.

What's the best way to cut (half) a banana to give as finger food? I did it in chip sized strips last time and it fell apart.
