so he isnt a special cat/pot plant hybrid any more? Thats sad. Did he choose to move away or did you choose to send him? I often worry that as my tabby is so friendly, he will just decide to go somewhere else. There is currently a beautiful Bengal queen that keeps trying to come in. I wouldnt be so bothered about it, but she is quite heavily pregnant and I dont want it giving birth in my house!!

I cant imagine any of mine or IL's family having that attitude, I am so sorry that you seem to be surrounded by such negative people.
It must be crap, thats what student loans and grants are for, to get them through!Buttonmoons wrote: »Can someone find me a link or proof that this is not true?
One of Idris' friends is saying that parents have to support their child until the age of 23 if they go to uni, weather they stay at home or not.

Buttons I think parental income is used as the basis for what grants / loans etc you are entitled to up to, I think 25, unless you are married then it's spouses income. However, that doesn't mean that the parent HAS to support the child, just that the SLC ASSUME that they will.0

There is paperwork you can fill out to show that you're independent, but I vaguely remember it being such a faff that nobody bothered with it.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

i missed him at first, then he came back for an 'overnight visit' ie eat all charlie's food and stink the place out. He wsnt neutered so was a proper tom. Typical tomcat...go where the food is.
Charlie has been neutered and has had a hard life. He had bad flea infestation as a kitten (from the mother and before we had him) then he got the cat version of cystitus, but nearly killed him. He has been attacked by a neighbours greyhound (vet said he was extremely lucky to get away) and then earlier this year another cat bit his tail and it got infected. Thank goodness for insurance
only logged in while DH having a smoke, wanted to say....Kian got his first kiss today from a girl :rotfl::rotfl: one of the little girls in his room, gave him a kiss on the cheek when i had put his coat on him to go home. TBh it was closer to the mouth  little flirt he is lol!!
right off again 'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

How easy is that stuff to lay? We've got carpet tiles and they are absolutely vile, who puts carpet in a kitchen anyway?!Sarah_Joanne wrote: »I got laminate no glue flooring from B&Q - was actually cheaper than the vinyl tiles! :money: 2 packs at £9.52 each, underlay at £19. Sweet. They had 10% off too until 31st October.
Have been looking to replace them for ages but cant afford someone to come and fit a new floor for us. I was going to get vinyl tiles and cut them to fit myself using the carpet tiles as stencils but they will need to go under the oven and washing machine and I dont think I can do that
I think neutering calms them down quite a lot, both my older ones just sleep most of the time now since they were done!jillie1974 wrote: »i missed him at first, then he came back for an 'overnight visit' ie eat all charlie's food and stink the place out. I too swear by pet insurance, but for all the vet trips my Scruffy has had he hasnt gone far enough over the excess to be worth claiming and putting up my premiums.

This is my local one, but you should be able to search by name? It's not with the Christmas decorations on the .de website for some reason.
I've no idea how to keep cats off the tree. I'm planning to let Molly help decorate the tree and sting her fingers just enough times that she's wary of touching it

I think the wednesday thing is to do with the online sale, as in prices should change at midnight Wednesday pm/ thursday am to half price for those who can stay up or who are usually still up.0 -
Thanks everyone for the suggestions we have tried swaddling but he does everything to escape from it!!
Luckily he managed to settle this afternoon, combination of on me then quick transfer and then after a feed. Been up now since about 8, yawning so put in his chair in living room as is a battle to put in his cot - he may fall asleep but will try to let him cry it out a bit as have done this before and after a minute he drifts off. Not sure what will happen tonight as seems to be a battle, may try classic fm in his room smartie the seahorse you mentioned helps in the night.
Hi ethelsmum wow to sleeping through, doubt he will do that for a long time as he still under 10 pounds. Also I think he is used to waking up!!Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces
