Ryanair - Prepaid Mastercard Problems

When I started this thread I was convinced that Ryanair were trying to make it difficult to use pre-paid Mastercards. After reading all the entries in the thread I am more certain than ever. Surely the evidence provided by this thread is sufficient for trading standards to investigate this issue? Does anyone know how one might get them to look into it?31 Jan 2011 [STRIKE]Debts £19,294[/STRIKE]

Not had any problems whatsoever with the Escape prepaid Mastercard. Bookings having gone through time after time. I always fly with whoever is the cheapest and most times it is RyanAir.0

I am thinking of getting the Neteller card
Can some more people who have this card comment please?0 -
having already been stung by ryanair having to py £24 in charges for a £24 flight, i am anxious not to be caught out again. i am also trying to get around the withdrawal cash biit when abroad. have always used nationwide but they have started charging. obviously dont want family to be carrying large amounts cash abroad when staying in self catering. but i dont know which i should recommend.i had a look on the other posts and the fairfx seemed the best with only paying an initial 4,95 nut no further charges abroad for spending or withdrawing. where as the free ones all seemed to charge 1.5% each time you use it. but now am wondering after all i read about fairfx. problem is you see everyone comes to me with this sort of thing considering me the font of all knowledge, little do they know its my fellow msers' that lead the way. so back to my original question which card is best?0

Have just ordered and loaded £100 on a FairFx card, after reading the guides on this site. Now have to wait for it to arrive, then book Ryanair flights. Hopefully they won't change in price by the time it arrives AND the card works! Will report back....0

Happy to comment - was a pain to set up but basically now I have it works fine. As long as you don't use it at an ATM you won't be paying fees. I only use mine for Ryan Air flights from EURO land back to POUND land so mine is a Euro card. I also use it as sort of a "slush fund" for me if I don't want cash comingout out of my current account or normal credit card.
I have sent you a PM - can still refer you for one myself if you like. Cheers jno0 -
Hi all, I have just booked a flight with Ryanair using my FX prepaid, no problems I normally book about 3 flights a year using it0

my card hasnt arrived yet, and ryanair prices have gone up, I should've just booked and paid the £24!0

I book to fly with ryanair twice a week. I was just booking ahead for the summer and all of a sudden I kept getting payment failure. i have enough credit on the card. I phone fairfx and they said that allegedly ryanair might have blocked the card after so many bookings as they do not make any money on the card transaction. i normarlly booked in blocks of about 12 flights
they suggested to wait 24 hours or failing that they will reissue new cards0 -
book it using ttravel republic0
