If you'd said that to my face you'd be nursing a broken nose right now.

No wonder businesses don't wish to trade with you.

I think I'll step out of this debate.

The cheaper the crook ..the gaudier the patter. If I had your face I would be protecting my own nose. You should learn a little anger management and recognise when your emotions are being manipulated.I know it must be hard working for HBOS.

By the way I live in Yorkshire but I doubt we will meet as you probably frequent different charty shops to me.

To correct you I have only two disputes;both banks who insist I need power of attorney which is a falsehood.Banks have a universally low rating on internet sites and most peopla cite the poor staff as the reason.Banks do not pay adequately(median salary £15000) or £7.50 per hour and fail to retain able staffand replace them with people with 2 GCSEs at grade C or recruit graduates in Media and Sports Studies who have few alternatives.

Which part of me do you want to attack next lad?

LOL - That does seem to be the case.

I find it strange that an HR representative has got involved with the formal complaints process. The only thing that comes to mind is that a staff member has reported the OP for being abusive.

If you complained you didnt like the colour of the carpet or the shade of green they used in a poster, they still have to send you that booklet. The FOS have no power to force a firm to transact business with you and cannot interfere with commercial decisions unless its as a result of discrimination or a rule breach. As no rule breach has occurred and you appear to misunderstand the importance (or lack of) with a passbook, the goodwill payment seems very fair for what has been a less than ideal spot of service but nothing else.

I contacted the HR person directly by email.I dont really mind the carpets.I am not contesting the pay-out which my mother received.I am a Chelsea customer .I did not ask to be part of YBS.I have no disputes with the CBS.I do feel that I am entitled to be warned of excessive and vexatious conduct if that is the case.I do hold assets of £50000 with the CBS and might have invested more, earning the YBS a margin of £2000 pa on their lending. It seems poor business to turn away this and alienate members of my family who also invest.

I do not enjoy upsetting people but I am prepared to do this when there is no valid alternative. In the USA and FRance in the late 19th century it was very upsetting for the monarchy but they were blocking progress and republics replaced them.I am no Robespierre but will not be fobbed off by bureaucratsand lackeys.most British people need to get off their knees and end the deference to authority.

You really have got a screw loose.

I think any further correspondence with gnvqsos should be done c/o the local asylum.

Are you a resident or just visiting ?Are you capable of an adult comment or simply restricted to repeating cliches?
  • Yeah, you're right earthboy. Having lost the argument he's now lost the plot and started making snide comments and dropping in the odd word of dialect for effect. With that, I think it's time to raise the "do not feed the trolls" sign.

And I thought Victor Meldrew was dead. I don't believe it.

  • I thought that the other day - he's actually got the same mannerisms - quite well spoken, clearly down to earth but awkward as they come - "How to lose friends and alienate people" appears to be his bible.
