A lot of FD lovers about here
I have only just opened a FD account so am fairly neutral atm.
I think it was the spurious complaint that prompted the replies, especially as error seems to be PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair).
And in all honesty is it as bad as Santander?Santander are awful - mission in life is to warn people since 17-Sep-10, 18-Sep-10 realised one of thousands.0 -
I am not so sure that I could complain about 'down time', I can see clearly that some of you have issues with the server being down.
I have to say I have only encountered true 'down time' with FD on rare occasions. Certainly not enough to make me complain about it.
On another note I do have a gripe that that FDs internet banking offering is truly dated and does not sit right with the image and marketing of the brand/bank.
FD markets it's offering on clear 'black & white' banking, true UK based customer service. Yes they provide this via telephone, that you can't argue with.
Look at it another way. FD is an internet/telephone bank. There are no branches. Therefore by default should they not be at the very forefront of technology and styling?
Seriously, come on FD. Spend some of that annual profit and give your customers a true professional online banking portal that represents everything you stand for!
Am I alone in my thoughts??0 -
stella2009 you're not alone. I did think the site could only look slightly more dated (if mid 90s is dated) if they had black background with yellow text:rotfl:Santander are awful - mission in life is to warn people since 17-Sep-10, 18-Sep-10 realised one of thousands.0

Strictly speaking you can see an available balance if you do a bill payment, although I'll concede that's not really user friendly. I've been with FD since February and the online arrangements haven't been an issue for me. Could be better though.0
