Oops...
Even machines need a little TLC now and again. Unfortunately this service is unavailable at the moment. Please try again later.
How much later? Been trying for ages.....

Strangely ok on IE yet not on AOL internal browser. Other banks working fine yet FD isn't and was ok yesterday.0

You can't criticise a bank for not having 24/7/365 uptime - it might be their goal but it's hard to achieve with 100% accuracy.Great bank I heard, not....You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -
First Direct is updating their system and will be back to normal from tomorrow Sunday.0

I can if I want.
I don't rate it as a bank anyway.
Better service elsewhere.0 -
It sounds like the problem here is your AOL caching things it shouldn't be caching and therefore not serving you the updated webpages. Why not move from AOL to a real ISP?I don't rate it as a bank anyway.
Better service elsewhere.
In any case, if you don't rate FD as a bank, why on earth haven't you switched to another bank?0 -
AOL were crap when they first came to market and I don't suspect they've got any better.
You can, but unless you're in a position to identify what is required to maintain a 24/7/365 service, or maintain such a level of service yourself, I'm afraid your point's meaningless. It's like saying the world's flat - don't mean nothing.I can if I want.
If you have a specific beef about them (other than uptime), why didn't you post about that, rather than something as innocuous as the service being down? Seems like a bit of a cop out. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0
