It was a stamp from a book which has been in my purse for about 5 years. Bought a book once as I needed one stamp and I couldn't buy just one from Tesco/Asda wherever I was. Seriously only make money from them now :rotfl:

Just had a horrible thought. Trying the envelope living this month and whatever was left was going to go towards the reserve. However, we get charged per week for being in it. Think I'd better pay the ££ back in and draw out £X per week instead.

As an aside, think I will take DS to the museum tomorrow to see the dinosaurs (sp?)

definitely pay it back in and take it out weekly

it took me a lot longer to figure out that if i moved all my Dd's the end of the month then i wouldn't be so far into my overdraft for so much of the month, it saved me at least a fiver each month once i'd sussed out something so simple!

Had a great weekend, although the following has happened:

We have paid back SWALEC with the increased monthly payments - great one debt totally gone.

We didn't realise we owed Npower money from when we switched - £220. They took that out of our account today - ALL OF IT, no asking, just TOOK IT! - ok good I suppose as thats another debt totally gone.

BAD - We are in our reserve already and the loan payment hasn't gone out (£210) - we will be about £400 in it by the end of the month :( however, DH done overtime this month and we are hoping that will clear it.

We have also done really well with our spends and have cash left (won't pay it in as we may need it, any excess we will keep and minus it from the figure we would draw with April pay so I am confident we can still clear at least 1/2 of it) - we will see.......

At the moment we have paid off 22% of the debt. That will go down at the end of the month with the reserve but will hopefully go straight back up again with however much we have left over from this month - frickin debt PLEASE go away!!

Sorry to hear about the never-ending reserve Kat.

Just keep focusing on when it's gone, just think, the rest of debt-busting will feel like a breeze after dealing with that one!

And well done on the quitting smoking too x

you'll get there. I always try and keep in mind what life would be like if we hadn't started tackling our debts when we did. I can honestly say as well that you will get to a position where the cycle of debt will start spinning in the other direction and it will become easier to get out of it. (if that makes sense)

We would have this month if it wasn't for the unexpected Npower payment. DH is working overtime this month so I'm hoping that will clear it.

We also now draw our cash out at the start of the month and I should have some left over which can go towards it (did a teeny tiny shop this week as had plenty in the house, just needed the "bits and bobs" to pull it all together for meals).

I have faith in myself now - I know we can get shot of this and everything else will be a breeze after! Can't wait to overpay on Mr loan but that will be the last thing - need to clear Kays first, although could clear loan before grad o/d.......

It does feel good that we have paid £2,327.39 off debt balance, especially as interest and reserve charges are so high :D it's £465.48 per month average, so prob more like £600 per month average in actual money when you think about what we have paid in interest and reserve charges. Feeling positive already! :D
