Not really - in job 2 someone phoned in sick for Sunday night, I never normally work Sundays but said I'd cover. Now it's December, job 2 hours are generally longer (where we would normally finish at about 11.30-12 on a Sat night, this week it was 1.15am!!! It's hard work, especially with my DS, but it's a need at the moment - tips have been a massive help so far, it means apart from for essentials I haven't touched the bank account myself for weeks (meaning the reserve is finally getting smaller :D)

Feeling festive now and had an MSE head on me when thinking "do I need to buy DS more" I spoke to DH and we decided he is only 2 1/2, how many more years do we have before he wants the latest of this and that so we aren't going to.

I haven't checked the account this week so not sure if I have been paid from job 2 but will ask DH to check tonight (as I am working). I am being paid really early this month due to Christmas which I thought was a bad thing. Quite the opposite as I will check our balance the day before being paid, draw out what we would have allowed from the reserve (so still paying it back but not starving to death) and I should avoid so many charges this month so it will make getting out of the reserve easier next month :j.

OH wrapped some pressies as well last night. I just not getint into the pressy wrapping zone at the moment which isn't like me, i'm usually mega organised and prepared. Don't get me wrong i'm only left with one pressy to get but i just can't seem to get much further.
  • Tonight I am going out for the first time in AAAGGGEEESSSSSS! I am setting a budget of £40 - only due to knowledge the taxi home will cost me around £15-£20 but I refuse to drive (as I usually do and can never have a drink). If I spend below this it will be going in the debt pot.

Updated sig to show my £10 per day - I am storming this, maybe I should have gone for £20 a day :rotfl:. Nice to know that if I can keep it up in Jan (may be harder as will have less hours in job 2) this will all be going on debt and not bits and bob.

Rather than paying it in (other than job 2 wages) I have been living off the cash and not touching the account. That has meant this month we have not yet gone into the reserve!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :j:T We will before the end of the week due to loan payment etc but as I get paid on Friday we will only have one £22 charge this month which is amazing compared to the £106 and £74 the past 2 months respectively so I am happy happy happy :D

that's great Kat, not going into your reserve so early will make such a difference to you next month. You won't have to claw that back before you've even started. Is there any way that you could put the money in the bank to actually not go into your reserve or is the shortfall just too much? Just think of the sense of achievement you would have to get zero charges.

    enjoy your night out tonight.
