Thanks for yur responses. Yes i am speaking to them for now-they are my family.
When i had to start repaying it was only for the first 2/3 months or so (thats what they said) now it's been 2/3 years and still no sign.
My brother pay towards mortgage and upkeep so he says he can tpay me and it shold be dad paying me.
At the time when my dad signed as guarantor we had a family business. This was sold in 2006 and now they don't have the business anymore.

as themull1 wrote get your brother to pay you the money for the loan directly and if there is anything left then that goes to your parents, you need to explain your situation to him and let him know that you are now suffering whilst he finished medical school that you paid for and is earning a decent salary, if the business was sold then where did the money go?

So why isn't your brother paying you instead of your dad?

    all seems incredibly unlikely
  • I know : (
I just don't know what to do. The only option I think I have is to stop paying and have a ccj or something isn't it? but that might stop me from becoming a solicitor . Aaarrggggh!
  • I have asked him to pay it directly to me-he won't. listens to my parents more.
Thanks for all your responses- it seems its impossible to get out of. I'm going to have to continue suffering for the next 7 years or so still-unless I win the lotto!

no, the first option is to get the money every month off your brother.! I can't see that would be a problem, did your dad sell the business for a profit?

Don't know how legal this is but what about discussing it with them while you have a recording device in your pocket, it will at least be proof of the fact that things are the way you say, and may be of use in making them responsible for their part in this. They might not be talking to you afterwards though.
