This trash talker (I think) was probably confusing stories about MW2 (CoD6) the PC version is full of hacked servers, that level you up when you join them) & making stuff up to frighten your child.
I agree about the age restrictions though, it's full of teenager using the N, F & C word all the time (that's when there not calling ppl gay)

Yes, my son used the word prestige. He said "The kid is able to Hack you and he has proved this because the kid has now got himself a massive prestige score which is miles higher than you are ALLOWED to get". My son went on "He has got a prestige score really high and he hardly ever plays it. It's because he can hack in and make his OWN prestige really high and build up his own score and he can also put anyones prestige down that he wants"

Again, I'm not concerned about the bullying etc (School boy stuff), I just wanted to know if what the kid was saying was technically possible.

Whilst it is not possible to Hack in to someones account without passwords etc it IS POSSIBLE to use a hack to increase your prestige.

What the other kid is doing is telling him that because he has a high prestige level he can hack his account when in actual fact all it means is that he has hacked his OWN ACCOUNT.

The other kid is obviously a loser and probably can't even play the game very well as he got there through cheating. He is probably upset that your kid killed him.

Hacked lobbies are a pain. Don't join them as the hosts will simply take money from those and help them and sucker others in.

Mrcodes 's PSN list is full too.

You can hack your own and other peoples prestiges in MW2 if you have the knowhow.

As for PSN ID stealing...can't comment.
