I bought some for my little boy yesterday, just a small box of Geomag with 42 pieces in it, he played with it solidly for 3 hours, and when he was done very carefully put all the parts back in the box and tidied it away which is almost unheard of in our house!

Though it is addictive, was thinking about getting myself some to allieviate office boredom!

My little boy loves Geomag, I have had some good buys from https://www.thegeomagstore.com and it is all free delivery within the UK and accepts paypal too.

  • I got this link from an email from a friend, as I have little ones running around it made me think twice about getting some (for the time being anyway)

This is the reason we got rid of our £110 worth of sets.It all started with one small set and the kids loved it so we ended up adding to the collection lol !
Then i heard on the news about the child who had died due to swallowing the small magnet which had become loose,we binned the lot!
The surprising thing is that there was no recall in the uk, I think there was in the usa but im not sure.

I agree with everyone else. I got a set of Geomag for my nephew's 4th birthday and he plays with it for hours on end. His 6 year old sister would too, if she could get a look in! It's very educational and completely absorbing. If you look on the Geomag website you can get loads of information. I got ours from a small, local toyshop and paid way over the odds for it :( Toys R Us had bigger sets for a lot less money.

My 6 year old has a small set of magnetix that he got last xmas, he still plays with it now, practically every day. Other than his bike, its the only thing he has bothered with.

Can't remember which of the two brands it was, but Home Bargains keep getting it in (may be called Quality Save or Half Price or Less depending on where you live).

Have bought loads for my nieces and it keeps them occupied for hours.
