Wowser...just read your diary from the beginning - it's taken me 3 days!!!
you're doing so well and have achieved so much with so little.
You definitely deserve a few nights out if that's what you want
Keep going...you'll get to the finish line

However four years without a night out is too long
Do you do girly nights in with friends?,
Have been to a couple, not as many as I probably should as I genuinely like being at home. I work 5 evenings a week. Plus OH goes out every week (football season ticket plus nightclubbing he couldn't function without.)
I do socialise a lot though, although normally with the kids, during the day. I do regular toddler groups, soft play etc. Spend a day a week with my mum and grandma. Meet up with coffee and cake.OPs so far £42,139

Lovely to meet you Domino9 - please drop by again.
I don't do anything special really. I was just brought up to be good with cash.
I am proud that this year I have made more effort to stay in touch with people. As after school/uni I've lost touch with loads of friends. Not with falling out but living other ends of the country and not making the effort.
This year I have met up with 4 who I hadn't seen in 5 years, and we are now in regular contact, which is lovely. Has also meant I have seen other parts of the country with plans to see a bit more in the coming months with invites to go and stay coming in.OPs so far £42,139

My gorgeous DD2 turned two today - had a wonderful time with friends. Had around 13 children to a soft play party. Then bought nibbles from morrisons cost around £40 and had a lovely time.OPs so far £42,139

Been a very hectic couple of weeks. However, builder started on 4th and finished 9th so was pretty quick really.
Ordered a new carpet on Wed (11th) and it was fitted yest 13th.
So I now have a brand new corridoor with room off it, currently the room is a reception room - but all being well the local council will approve my house as a Licensed HMO so it can be a bedroom and an extra £300 rent a month.
Costs well still needs re decorating both sides of the stud wall, plus around the old radiator where it had to be moved. May paint the new self closing fire door although I don't mind plain wood.
New carpet £87 for corridoor, was going to re laminate as it was previously and harder wearing but didn't have funds to. £1590 for building charges.
All paid and finished bar painting:j:j:jOPs so far £42,139

Hooray! That must be a relief!Borrowed £150,000 in an offset tracker mortgage in May 2007 - MFD May 2041 (67)

Next stage is council licensing, not going to look into this until Sept, as I have tenants until Sept 2013, and will advertise in Jan 2013 for the next batch, so can have a bit of a break from it.
It takes 6 weeks to get licensing, obviously I need it before Jan for re advertising, but can afford a bit of a gap.
Finances shocking, haven't kept up with my July spending diary. Will try better next month, but have had to work a lot of hours to pay for the building work.
Also OH is currently away on a lads holiday so have been struggling with the kids. Keeping them entertained, food, have been treating them as they are clearly missing him. I've also had to work Fri/Sat so they were left with the grandparents and think that they were feeling very neglected. Although all fine now after home cooked tea and cuddles.OPs so far £42,139

Well had a bit of a break through with OH, he's agreed (well I won't believe it until I see it) to put his £2000 savings into the mortgage for remortgaging in Nov.
Hoping that this will be the final push needed to get into the 60% LTV bracket.OPs so far £42,139

It sounds horrendous but I always had in my head that once we had £60,000 deposit (equity) for new house we should move. Well we do have this now, so I'm going to be torn for the next year or so debating whether to move.
I phoned to speak to a couple of brokers yesterday and all said they couldn't do anything until end of Aug for an end of Nov remortgage (3 months in advance).
However, when the time comes lots to discuss, remortgage, buy another BTL, move house. Lots to ponder over the coming months.
And ponder with you guys I shall;):rotfl:OPs so far £42,139
