Orange Pay as you Go
I just joined orange on pay as you go.I had a £10 top which was gone in just 10 days.I must of made about 10 calls all just a min long and only one 5min call.I don't understand where it has gone.Has anyone else had this experience and would it be any use calling Orange?

Yeah I did that but it's as I thought, they've charged me for no reason, none of my calls are above 20p(except the one).I think I'll just have to call them but from what I've read online, they're not very helpful.
Thanks0 -
What phone do you have?Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug).0

They haven't charged you for no reason have they? Do you have a data/internet allowance - if not, chances are that's where your credit has gone. Also, be mindful that there are min call charges, and that the standard tariff may not be the best suited for your needs.0

Have to agree, if it's an iPhone and you're not on one of the data plan (or you've not turned all data service off) then your credits gone on data. The iPhone lives online. . .0

I have a free data allowance with it.But I don't use my wifi outside,I just use my home internet on my iphone, they don't charge u for that do they?
Yeah I know there's a min charge for calls, that's 20p but really seeing as I've made about 10-12 1 min calls it doesn't make sense.(I've sat down and calculated the charge for each call from my call history).I'm really beginning to think there's some kind of billing mistake.0 -
There's your answer then. Just goes to show PAYG + smart phones = disaster waiting to happen. You should either turn the data off on your iPhone or call Orange and opt into a data plan with them.
Edit: very strange. You replied before I did. Are you sure your data plan is activated?Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug).0 -
I'm pretty sure that Orange's PAYG gives you 100mb a month only of data on 1 £10 top up.0

Wifi is free as you say. Do you have it checking for email every X minutes ? If you're out it'll be using data to do that. Even if there's no mail to get or send it still has to send your log in info every time it checks. I've seen people use 20 to 50 meg a month just on that?
What payg plan are you on? and when it go active ?0
