Would perhaps be more of an incentive if you could do them with the rest of the team? Just thinking about it gets my heart pumping faster ...

*sniggers* I do actually have the offer of that....! :D Think I might need to be a tad fitter first though to keep up!

I was going to post my list up wasn't I? Oh well - it had best be a TADA instead then:

    Dishwasher emptied
    Dr's appointment made and kept
    Prescription dropped off at chemist
washing from airer - folded and put away
    Washing from machine to airer
    Next load to machine.
One Avon order delivered (and her 3-week-old little 'un coo'ed over!)
15 minute blitz - front room
    15 minute blitz - bedroom
    Client invoice updated
Last few Avon books collected (no orders - Booooo!)
One lot of Avon books sorted ready for delivering on Thurs.
    Washing up done.
Avon orders entered up to date - will submit mid-evening tonight in case of stragglers.

Am trying to plough through some surveys but the connection has gone terminally slow. Funny how this always seems to happen with OnePoll when there are a few there to be done. No wonder it's taking so long - I sau again, when I get to my £40 I away outta there! :D

Oh - forgot to say - our shower decided to pack up the other night. It cut out once (while I was under it - natch!) and I thought it was MrEH p'ing about.....but apparently it had done the same to him that morning too (I think this was the warning sign?!) and then started running again - and I had literally JUST finished rinsing my hair free of conditioner when it conked out entirely and refused to re-start. Handily one of the rugby team (bless 'em!) is a plumber......he is currently pricing up a shiny new shower for us and will be coming to fit it later in the week/over the weekend/one evening/sometime yet to be arranged. Until then it is a fab excuse to have lots of lovely baths! :p (I won't be so cheery about this when I have to manage washing my hair though, in fact, I can feel myself getting distinctly tempted to go swimming on Thursday.....! :rotfl:

  • I'd even head to Essex to work out ;).

I love baths but usually have showers, when i do have a bath I notice it in the leccy readings and soon swap back to showers .

ROFL - honestly, they are a lovely bunch of lads but we're not talking elite athletes here - frankly most of them enjoy the beer afterwards as much as anything else! :D

The baths from necessity won't affect the 'leccy too much as we'll be using the water first thing for the most part and can put the immersion back on on the cheap tariff to hot it up again. I hope!

Friend of a friend who is a mechanic popped by this evening to tell me that my car needs a new indicator stalk as the one I currently have is a bit bu66ered -would explain why main beam isn't working I guess! He is going to get a price for me tomorrow but didn't sound as though he thought it was going to be too eye-watering. Good thing too as the money that was put aside for the home insurance is now going to get spent on the shower.

Cheers LT! You must let me know if you're about one Thursday when I'm heading up for speedway and we can get together for a natter - t'would be fun! :)

I'm quite chuffed with how much I achieved today - always nice when the place looks improved by the end of the day too - although MrEH has been in the kitchen making lime squash tonight so I dread to think how sticky that will be now! :rotfl:

Just checked the weather forecast for the weekend for S!!!!horpe (Friday) Berwick (Saturday) and Glasgow (Sunday) and it's looking rather  for speedway purposes sadly. We just have to hope that it stays dry for just long enough in each location at the right time to be able to get the meetings run I think, it would be annoying to go all that way and then have rain-offs.

We've decided there is room in the budget for another small increase in the mortgage OP so I will be ringing tomorrow to increase it by another £30 I think. Assuming we can keep that up then it will make another few months different to the final date according to my spreadsheet!

Food has been fairly good the last few days - last nights dinner was spaghetti with HM tomato sauce with chicken, courgette and mushrooms. Followed that with ryvita & soft cheese, and a cheeky packet of smoky bacon crisps! Tonight was chicken salad wraps with additional salad and a packet of crisps also, followed up with some rather tasty Rachels Organic Gooseberry yogurt. Had the last smal bit of the bar of choccy I bought at the Eden Project afterwards - so that's another temptation out of the way! Because I'm not weighing myself I'm in danger of losing motivation because the results aren't as obvious as immediately as if I could say "I lost X lbs this week" BUT I'm starting to FEEL different if that makes sense? Of course that helps!

Avon order was submitted last night - at 7pm it looked like it was going to be an "alright" campaign, and then three last minute orders came in and it turned into a fairly good one! :D The whole roundabout starts again now with books to prep and get out tomorrow - still, at least the walking is good exercise. :T

  • You've really got the Avon off as a proper business where most just seem to hand them out all enthusiastic and then give up and dont bother recanvassing.

DH is back on SW as he really needs to lose about 3 stone and I decided to join him in the healthy eating as I am only 8 stone but can eat anything I like so don't think about sugar etc. I had a good few days but yesterday afternoon was really poorly with a bad tummy and realy bad headache - I think I got carried away and my body went into shock , so today I ate biscuits, and when I had my regular check up at the Docs I asked the nurse and she said not too eat too much fruit etc too quick and to not worry about what I eat either so I had a Maccy D's for tea :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

I really had no choice with the Avon Me - at the moment it's my only personal spending money so that's a good incentive! :p I do try to put the books out with a covering leaflet "plugging" various bits and highlighting good offers etc - they always go in Avon Brochure bags, and I have a stamp for my order forms. I also set up an easy to remember email address specifically for it. I think having it all looking professional and businesslike helps people to feel they can trust you to follow through with a delivery etc.

Pouring with rain here this morning and I have masses of books to deliver - I have been sitting here killing time but I think I ought to now just knuckle down and get my waterproof on and go and do the deliveries actually as it's not looking like it's going to get any better. I also have a list of stuff as long as your arm to get done so if I get the Avon books done sooner rather than later then I have the afternoon to work through the other stuff. With heading off for the speedway tour this afternoon I'll only have half a day to do "stuff" tomorrow. Did have a bit of a late one out of bed this morning as am conscious of needing my sleep before the weekend - must get to bed earlier tonight though.
