o2 Excessive Data Usage
I'm on a 30 day Simplicity tariff with o2 with an "unlimited" Web bolt on. As I joined in November 2009, I'm not subject to the changes discussed here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2761800 and have been told in the past by o2 reps that using more than 3GB per month is generally considered excessive.
I've had a letter from o2 informing me that my data "usage is significantly above the normal levels we expect to see with this product." The letter also states that the have sent me a text regarding this - I've checked Bluebook (the online text message repository) and I have not received a text from them about this. I used 1.2GB last month and 914MB the month before - I've tried to call o2 but after waiting for 40 minutes I hung up.
Has anybody else had a similar letter? If so, do they have an email address for somebody at o2 to contact about this?
Thanks.

Hopefully someone else will confirm this but as your on a 30 day contract, the network provider can change there terms and conditions any time as long as they give you notice.0

The terms and conditions of your tariff are that there is no numerical limit. But the pattern of your usage cannot adversely effect other users. You can see the details in your copy, but basically there is no continuous streaming allowed and no tethering.
If you want to complain, then use the email form on the O2 website. If you aren't satisfied with the response then use the Complaint Review Service detailed in your terms and conditions.0 -
Thanks for your advice, I've contacted o2 via their website.0
