I got my card & pin at weekend. They gave me a lousy £1500 limit. My egg card is more than this. Don't know wether to take it or not now.other poeple where getting £5k+

My initial limit with them was £2k which was pants compared to the limits I've got on a couple of other cards. I phoned them and explained that it was too inflexible for me and they raised it to £3k. I was told that it was too early to increase it higher until they'd seen how the account was being run and to call back in a couple of months or so if I wanted/needed it higher. I'm happy enough with the level it's at now - so you've nothing to lose from calling them and asking. They ask why you want it higher - I told them that Christmas was coming and I'd need it a bit higher.

I got mine recently and automatically got 2k, higher than initial offer from any other card.

The whole process from application to knowing whether you have been acepted is VERY quick. Probably 72 hours at the most.
