If you have time please have a look at the posts coz I bet you won't be intressted in m&s card, after u have read a few. I applied for one 2 weeks ago. It took them 4 days to send my an e-mail saying I was accepted then another week before all the paper work came through. Well roughtly my thread is all about the total credit charged (i thought i would be charged for their service - £136) + 2% BT fee - which states fee free on the website but when u get ur aggreement it says 2% per bt uncapped. A few ppl are going to complain to m&s about this.

not strictly true, some have noticed in the paper work the wording " we MAY charge"

however no one who has actualy done balance transfers wto their new card HAS been charged a fee. and if you read the contract , the 'total credit charged' is an example by them IF you maxed out your car AND were paying 16.9% over 1 year.

which you wouldnt be on a balance transfer of 3.9% with no fee.

I have an &More card and I get a mailing from them every 4-6 weeks with various offers attached.
I use my &More card for my shopping at M&S and also my shopping outside M&S. I pay off the full balance each month.
I think they tailor what you usually spend to what offers they give you and I always get offers on things that I would have bought anyway. The last set of offers they sent to me was 10x points on lingerie, 10x points on cosmetics and 3x points on food.
Sometimes the vouchers will be in the form of 'Spend £20 on food and get £2 off.'
Sometimes they send vouchers for free things, the last one I had was for a free 99p trial pack of Parma ham. Also I have had a few £2.50 and £3.50 vouchers to spend in the Cafe Revive instore.

Every 3 months they send you your Reward Vouchers if you have earnt them. One thing is you don't get any change from them.

I'm soon going to stop using my &More card for purchases as I am going to take up their offer of 3.9% for life. Good job I never cancelled my M&S Chargecard so I will still benefit from the offers.:j

Can anyone tell me if this card is any good for balance transfers? I have applied for it because we want to balance transfer about 2k from other cards and I thought 3.9% for the life of the balance was really good, but is there a fee? On the advert it says "Fee free" but I've heard there is a fee after all.

Yummymummy, this card is fee free at the moment. If you do a balance transfer with it now then it will be charged at 3.9% for the life of the balance.

I think you have until March 07 to do your balance transfers to benefit from the 3.9% for life offer.

My card turned up quick (applied online), 6k limit, up'd to 7K when I called today and transfered 2 balances a few quid short of the limit, confirmed FEE FREE. This is an excellent deal, especially if you were to compare it to the cheapest loan rates available.

Can anyone tell me who owns the M&S card please? And are they strict with their applications? I was turned down for a GE card a few months back so don't want to risk getting turned down again.

M&S Money is owned by HSBC

I believe it belongs to HSBC.
Don't know how strict they are - they let me have one.
