Bella Bathrooms

I'm hoping someone can offer me some advice.
We placed an order with Bella Bathrooms 2 weeks ago, i rang them several times last week and was given the run around as to when stock would be available. They took the funds from the credit card the day the order was placed.
I have tried contacting them yesterday several times on all their available phone numbers and the phones just keep ringing, i also emailed customer services yesterday and have had no reply. I have yet again tried phoning them today and still all the lines just keep on ringing.
I am very concerned that there is no answer and somewhat worried as to where my money/goods are and whether there is problems with this company.
Is there any way i can find out if this company has got problems. IE: gone bust?
UPDATE: I have recieved an apologetic phone call from Bella today, apparantly all there systems were down yesterday, and they have had issues with the supplier of the products that we ordered, so they have decided that they are no longer going to deal with that supplier so they have issued a refund to us today.
So although we have no products, we have got a result in the end, and Bella can't really be at fault for issues with suppliers.
Thanks

You have done the right thing by paying with a Credit Card. The best thing to do if you cannot contact Bella Bathrooms is to ring your Credit Card company and tell them what has happened. They will then probably send you a form to fill in, you just need to state that payment has been made but service/goods were not supplied and the transaction can be reversed.
A call to your local Trading Standards offce would also be usefull, tell them the company name and see what they say.
Hope that helps

Don't panic!
We've placed a few orders in recent weeks as we're redoing our bathrooms. In fact I've been on this board and praised Bella.
We had a delay on one item. For some items, they dispatch direct from the manufacturer, not from Bella themselves. We encountered this with a HiB bathroom cabinet. Had to chase Bella who found that the manufacturer hadn't received the original order from them so it was re-ordered. Eventually turned up two weeks after ordering instead of the quoted 3 days.
On the other hand, we ordered 2 Triton showers that showed up two days after ordering. They must be items Bella actually carry.
Try calling again today. I got the impression it wasn't a very big office where staff answered the phone so maybe someone was off sick yesterday.
EDIT: They do have an actual shop in Darlington (Bella Bathrooms Ltd, Morrisons Shopping Mall, Yarm Road, Darlington, County Durham, DL1 4PJ). Do you know anyone up there who could go and check? Or maybe someone on here is nearby....0 -
I was wondering if any one could tell me the actual web address that you guys have used because a google search shows up 2 separate sites. One of them is bellabathrooms and the other is bella-bathrooms. As I am a new user I can't post web address but both of them are co.uk pages
I ordered a shower from the first address and they took the payment the same day. After a week the item hasn't arrived, looked on the site again and noticed that their holiday dates were from 17th December - 5th January. Should they have taken the payment if they were not trading at the date I ordered.0 -
http://www.bellabathrooms.co.uk/ was the site I used.
The payments system will be automated but I doubt your order will be shipped until they are back from holiday.0 -
I must admit that websites that do not provide an obvious physical presence make me a bit antsy. Tempted but will also look elsewhere before ordering.0

The Bella Bathrooms I used successfully (and saved £100 on an electric shower compared to B&Q!) have a shop in Darlington:

How can a bathroom company say they will deliver "as close to the door as possible" and that you have to inspect the goods for damage there and then, that is really not very practical,or customer friendly.0

I felt a bit nervous about buying after reading one or two posts, but really didn't need to be.
Bella Bathrooms were great, in our experience. Prompt contact re. delivery, with a tracking number; the driver phoned 2 days after we ordered, to arrange a delivery time; delivery was on time and the driver was helpful, waiting patiently for my partner to unpack and examine the shower enclosure.
The price was right, contact was excellent, delivery was within 3 days of order and we're delighted with the whole process - and the price was by far the best we'd found - a substantial saving.:)
My only quibble: I hate companies using 0844 numbers, which have a connection charge. Only about 10p, but I have inclusive daytime calls from my landline and object to having to pay for calls. One reason for going with BT was to get inclusive 0845 and 0870 calls. I use 'Say No to 0870' website, but the alternatives for Bella Bathrooms on there don't work. Still, the saving I made more than compensated for the charge - but I still resent it.0 -
Dont use this company if you have any alternative they are anything but helpful when it comes to solving disagreements and practises which are only just legal. They are selling damaged goods as 1st rate and hoping you dont check the contents when they are delivered- beware my story:
I have just taken delivery of a large cabinet when the driver delivered at 8:40 am his van blocked the road. In trying to allow my neighbours to get out to work/school I signed the delivery slip unchecked as the packaging looked fine from the outside.
When I returned from work, I discovered a dent in one of the side panels- when I contacted Bella re a replacement I was told I should have inspected them at the time of delivery- its in their terms and conditions. No replacement forthcoming. There were also a number of dints/scratches on the item which were obviously not caused in transit
Credit card company cant do anything about getting me a refund either as its in Bella bathrooms terms and conditions
Wont be using these shysters again, just to confirm this is their website

I was clearly told to inspect the goods on delivery by Bella which I did even though the driver thought it unneccessary. If this wasn't stated in the past they are definately doing it now. On the whole I found their customer service to be excellent.
After placing my original order I decided to change the Basin only to find out that the replacement wasn't available in time and so had to change it again. The process was painless and the refund I was due was credited quickly and efficiently.
Due to changing the Basin I needed a slotted waste rather than the un-slotted I'd ordered, a quick call to Bella Bathrooms and a new one was delivered a couple of days later at no cost. Yet again excellent service!
At all times the customer service team was excellent! Polite, friendly and efficient. The only recommendation I would make is that they should let customers know that it takes a few days to credit refunds. I wasn't originally told this hence me harassing the customer service team who were as always a pleasure to deal with.
The WC, Basin, Tap and Waste are all very good quality and good value.
To sum up, good quality products, good choice, good price and excellent customer service! Overall a pleasure to do business with. I will be ordering from them again in a year or two when I install my en-suite!
