Im not feeling so confident I will find these things.
there is only me to buy for?
I've noticed they have more reduced items in the Radcliffe store.....that's open 24hours aswell.
We've had loads of whoopsies from there, 5p rolls, 50p monkfish fillet, 50p for 1/2 pound of ham....to name but a few.0 -
i do most of my shopping like this, i'm addicted to it. my family and friends cannot believe how good me and my partner eat for the amount we spend. Asda is great on a sunday afternoon, i brought in one shop 4 x 28 day matured serloin steak for 75p, fresh chicken breast in bbq sauce 40p, pork mince 50p, big punnet of strawberries 10p, bagels 10p, lamb shank 70p, along with loads of other reduced items. some people i know get embarassed when the get to the till with a basket full of yellow stickered things, not me, my freezer is packed with yummy goodies.
the co-op/summerfield is good for reduced items too though the prices do vary a hell of alot from store to store.0 -
I never seem to be able to find when local supermarkets do this. I have been in ASDA at 3pm on Sundays but they dont seem to have anything reduced in price.
I never know what time to go to stores that open 24 hours either.0 -

However, for the serious bargain hunter the best time for reductions is Sainsburys on Christmas Eve. Because the store is closed until Boxing Day they usually have about three days worth of stock to get rid of!1
I've gone for the last three years and got trifles, joints, fish etc
Best time is about 3pm - i know this is a busy day but a lot of the stuff can be frozen and is great for over the holidays!!
I did great in Morrisons last year, I'd been poorly all week and done no fresh shopping at all, went in at 12 noon got a £22 turkey crown for £4 got a my veg prepared roasties on trays ready peeled sprouts/carrots/spuds all 10p each trays of ready made stuffing and pigs in blankets all 10p cooked ham joint £2.50 pots of liqueur creams 5p I spent £14 and filled the freezer plus had all xmas and boxing days food and I gave 2 neighbours boxes of mince pies and pots of brandy cream0 -
Last night's reductions included Quorn cocktail sausages, Extra special brie and roasted sunblush tomatoes - all 5p each!0

Hi there,
Just wondering what's the best time to be there?
For most of the supermarket, is it 8p.m?
CO-OP is early in the morning?
I went to my local Asda yesterday at about 8:30 p.m and only very few stuff left and I'm not interested.
Thanks0 -
Our Asda is quite hit and miss with bargains that I would buy anyway. However in the last week or so I have come out with
a huge bag of bananas for 13p (reduced to 13p/kg but the check out girl wasn't being very sparky and put the whole bag through for 13p. Checked the scales at home - nealry 1.5kg)
a large bag of SP potatoes for 10p
6 hot dog rolls for 10p
A lot of stuff is only slightly reduced, and things that I woulnd't normally buy anyway."Does it spark joy?" - Marie Kondo

I find Tesco to be fairly poor for end of day bargains but our Waitrose can be fantastic especially in the fresh meat and fish. It's always a lottery but it can also be a competitive game as you seen the same people hanging around waiting for the reductions at the same time each night.0

Finest Butter Croissants - 35p [£1.50 ish]
Bread loaf 25p [88p]
Potato salad 25p [69p]
Hummus 30p [75p]0
