Butterflies it's just luck, really - why not pop along and see what you find?!

Best ever whoopsie here is probably packs of Tesco chopped swede and carrot - if I remember rightly, they were reduced to about 10p each, but were originally £1-something, and were on a BOGOF - we bought a couple to see if the full BOGOF value would come off, and it did. At the time we were absolutely skint, so we went back and picked up about another 10 packs, then went round the store and did some bits of normal shopping, which were pretty much entirely covered by the value being credited by the reduced stuff! :D Sadly I don't think this usually works with reduced items and the BOGOF's any , 4 more!

I had that in Tesco the other week with brocoli 4 heads down to 21p each and then BOGOF, think it usually comes off even with whoopsi food.

So if I go to asda sat night this week after 8pm at pilsworth, bury, I will find these reduced items???

Im not feeling so confident I will find these things.

there is only me to buy for?

Asda here, which is 24 hour during the week, shuts at 8pm on saturdays. Do check your opening hours ;)

Note to self: *check facts before posting, it closes at 10pm, sorry!*
  • Tonight - Sainsburys Srlion steak £5.75 to 50p Ready cooked salt and pepper chicken (for sandwhiches) £2.75 to 30p 4 x Chicken drums £2 to 50p Hunter Chicken ready meal £5.99 to 50p CHicken Mini Roast (1/2 whole chick) 50p.

Filled the freezer - but did leave some for other shoppers;)

Not quite 1p or 5p but fab savings on fresh meat!
  • best bargain was a large chicken for 10p at asda. we often get curries from the counter for 10p as well.

I like the packs of stone baked paninis, they are often reduced down to 6p in my local branch.

Perfect for the freezer and then toasting in the oven with some tuna and cheese :P mmmmm
  • I did go to asda after 8pm on saturday. got some apricot pastries for 48p from 98p, some ham reduced to 44p. some bread reduced to 40p too. But could not find a thing reduced to 10p

guess I shall have to try another night maybe after work after 8pm and see what I can get.

When I used to work there, we used to do the Provisions discounts from around 7ish, as there are less people in on a Saturday night to clear the reductions before the store closes at 10pm.

We were visiting freinds in Nottingham last week, we left about 3pm and realised we had nothing at home to make pack lunches on Monday.

Popped into their local Co-op to grab some bits.

    I was amazed.

Freshly baked crusty cobs - 10p from £1
    French stick (wholemeal) - 10p from £1
    Multiseed rolls - 3p each from 34p

The best was the chicken, whole free range chickens reduced to 50p from £5-£7.

As someone with 7 children I usually cash and carry or do a home delivery, but I was amazed!

My parents' village Coop on a Sunday morning. I don't go down there too often on a Sunday as I work. If I am having Sunday off or if they are away and look after their house, I nip in.

    . 18 cobs - 15p
    . Strawberries - 20p
    . Innocent Smoothie 1 litre - 15p
    . 18 eggs - 50p
    . Cakes - 20p

    Reduced tin loaf 30p
    Hovis Doorstop reduced 69p
Four finest burgers reduced to 1.95p
Haddock and chips meal reduced to 1.25p
Finest 4 croissants reduced to 53p (also used the book voucher on these of 50p off and they were able to take it)

Also used the vouchers 800g mince £1.50 off = £2.50
Paella Finest ready meal £1.00 off = £2.27
    Activia 8 pack £1.00 off = £1.94
