Unsecured

Hi there

I sold an item on eBay tonight, I had a mail from the winner saying " I got a new one of these yesterday can I change my mind"

I mailed him back saying "no, you had all day to contact me or withdraw your bid."

PayPal has notified me he has paid bur it has the delivery address marked as "unsecured"

Will I be ok to send to this address Recorded Delivery ?

Did he pay before or after you told him he couldn't change his mind?

The most important thing about the address is that it is Verified - if it doesn't say that then you're putting yourself at risk of the item going 'astray' no matter how you send it.

  • Hi there

He asked to change his mind, I refused and then he paid. He has 17 - 100% feedback

I found this on Pay Pal

    What is an Unconfirmed Address?
An unconfirmed address is any address which is not associated with a credit card or which has not been Verified by PayPal. Gift Addresses and addresses associated with a Switch or Solo card are considered to be Unconfirmed. Most non-US addresses cannot be confirmed at the moment.

I will talk to the post office about most secure method of proving delivery

if he has paid, then just send them - alot of people cant secure teh address due to card they use, and paypal's "protection" isnt worth the paper its written on....

if he has paid, you have 2 choices. email him and ask him to pay your fees (listing and final sale) and you will refund him, or send it to him recorded / special delivery
