Because the Lloyds account has matured and people are discussing what to do with the matured funds or what new regular saver to go for

First Direct.
Keeping £1 in the savings account is enough to stop the monthly charge, although I think the charges don't apply for the first six months anyway.
To get the opening bonus of £100 you have to 'fund' with £1500 for the first 3-4 months. There are some referrals offered too on the referrals board, so you could pick up another few £s from there.
