Ps, I forgot to add, your "general info is wrong", certainly from my point of view villager is a good British made purchase!
I know this thread is old, but I thought I'd comment anyway. Whilst I know little about stoves, I do know what one example of a product does not tell you anything about quality control. Clearly the installers here do not like Villager, Hunter etc because QC is not so good, at least not in their experience. You clearly have a good example.
I have visited 4 local shops, and in two the sales people really rated Charnwood, using terms such as Bentley and Rolls Royce, but agreeing that Stovax, Morso etc are all good. In two other shops they simply say they only stock decent stoves, and to choose one that looks nice. Nowhere did I see Aarow and Villager, but I did see Hunters in three shops.
Several people confirmed that Stovax (and hence Yeoman I assume) use parts from overseas.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0
