I really don’t think it is too bad I bought up 3 children in house with wood chip can’t remember it causing many grazed knuckles.

I think it really is a fashion thing and to be honest it’s a good thing we aren’t all sheep and follow what the latest designers say is cool.

My sister and I shared a room, and our beds were both against the (woodchipped) walls. Hated the stuff!

I have a bikers leather jacket which until recently, hung in my utility room (where our coat pegs are...like a school cloakroom!). It is a vintage leather, purchased from a friend in exchange for a Monsters of Rock, Donnington ticket and a lift to the gig back in 1988, he had had it for approx 10 years before exchanging it with me.

Now it is sitting in the boot of my car, youngest discovered it a few weeks back, decided he liked the look of it and has started to wear it, even though he looks like he is playing dress up as the arms are too long and the hem reaches half way down his legs.

For me, the jacket holds lots of special memories of my younger days, the carefree days...plus also keeps me grounded if I ever think to get above my station.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
