Leather jacket on the wall. And? So the man owns a leather jacket. All leather jackets bring down the tone of a street?

I didn't think the interior of the house was too bad, but then I'm used to viewing Welsh property.......:o.....some of it owned by horsey people. Not a good combination!

I don't have time to look properly, but here's a not-too-bad example of the sort of thing I mean....

The thing I dislike about my own house (which was photographed unfurnished) is the lingering whiff of cigarette in some rooms, an more strongly when it rains. It puts the lingering smell of dairy farmer with indoor dog carpets easily into second place.

That takes me right back to how we all used to live :)
Before the days of laminate and magnolia.

Although, I must say, where I am now isn't too dissimilar.

Once you've got "your look", from your generation, of how your house should be - you stick with it until you're 80-90. I am therefore liviing in the 60s/70s.

Maybe. I have just realised that the suite in that place is the same one we had in the early 80s, and although we aren't hard on stuff, I don't think we could have made it last this long! :rotfl:

This is probably the best representation of this particular property, which has been on with several agents for years, having started at some totally ridiculous price. The popularity of Welsh property, 'for improvement,' has pretty much been in line with Gary Glitter's in recent times. ;)

I love the attention to detail, the way the duck beak toilet roll holder brings together the white of the cistern with the yellow of the toilet pan.

    Why not?

My parents have, in their living room, a sofa my grandparents bought in 1939. It's been re-covered several times (by my Granny) but it's still fine.
