Grrrr CSA

Of course contact shouldn't change because of it, it makes no direct difference to the kids whether he is lying or not, the children won't feel they want to see any less of their dad, pity though that he didn't take this view himself and didn't realise that having a raw with their mother doesn't justify making them pay for it by cutting down THEIR money.
That's if it helped "them".0 -
i'm beginning to see why they fell out TBH. i recognise that attitude from my ex.
good luck against a SE NRP with a half clued up accountant as if you keep pushing it or use the children in your vendetta then chances are you'll end up on a fiver a week.
just like my ex did...............................

Lucky to get £5 A WEEK??? Shocking I hope you can sleep at night knowing your happy you only contribute that pittance towards your child, absolutely disgusting comment!!!!0

What I dont get is the different amount based on earning a father has to pay, If a man is self employed or on minimum wages he pays less that a man who is on alot of money per month, but the child upkeep should cost reletively the same should it not, for example does it cost more to feed an 8yr old whos father works for alan suger than it does to feed an 8yr old whos father is unemployed, answer No!
There should be a set rate for csa payments and it should also be linked to contact. Some mothers do not want the father as part of the childs life but are happy to screw him for every penny he earns for the next 16 years!0 -
How can there be a set rate for CSA payments? What would it be? If it were £80 a week - that could be more than one man earns if he's on minimum wage - but only a small percent of a wage packet of a high earner. I think it should stay at a percentage and if it's not much - that's just life. I don't, however, think earnings should take into account the new families child tax credits, and to keep it fair - scrap a reduction for new children in second family.
It's difficult to link CSA payments to contact - some men long to see their children but ex forbids it - and some kids long to see their dads - and they just don't want to know.
There isn't an ideal solution - broken families are just what they are described as - and it takes a lot of glue to fix them.0 -

don't hate the player. hate the game.
my ex had a similar attitude to the OP. hence the comments.
she got greedy, got the hump, committed fraud, lied through her teeth, cut contact, lied some more etc, etc, etc.
trouble is she came unstuck. she played the game, acted fraudulently and came unstuck when i learned the rules and fought back against her and the fascist system.
and, yes, i sleep extremely well thanks. my daughter is, and will be well provided for, now and in the future. it's just that my ex cant get her hands on it.
furthermore, i spent another 2 years giving her a whooping in the family court arena too. i now have far more contact than i had before she cut it, so all good for daughter.
and, above all, unlike her mother, i have my daughters respect as she knows what i have had to go through to maintain our relationship and bond.
greedy pwc who think they can use the csa and contact as a weapon generally come unstuck eventually. mine did. it took her over 3 years to realise that before she called them off the nazis and came to a far more fruitful private agreement.NEVER ARGUE WITH AN IDIOT. this is what i hate, people moaning because they dont get enough money of there ex, maybe if the mother/ father let there partner be more involved in there childs life then there would be no need for huge amounts of money to support kids.
i agree if there for some reason is no way the father/mother cant see them then fair enough claim as much as you can, but some preants stop kids seeing there parents out of spite, and then its the kids resident parents problem how much they dont get etc.
im sure im going to get moaned at but im in same situation as most im a dad, ex wife wont let me near kids. been court court is granting me acssess to them as her allegations were lies.
i payed csa and she moaned for more, the judge jumped in at this point and said to my ex, you made it impossible for him to contribute to the chilen in not allowing him accsess, and you sit there moaning becasue he doesnt pay you enough only what csa ask. he then said if you look at what you have done you have put your self in this position and used this poisition for your own gains.
he then gave a court order out stating that a court agreement is now in place. and the csa are no longer needed in dealing with support for the children, he granted me accesses to kids and basically said when they with me i provide for them, when they with her she does the same, im not to ask her for money and shes not to ask me.0 -

you mean just like your children did... lucky them to have such a considerate nrp who puts a smile at the fact that they have to do with less.0 -
Speedster - almost everything you've written here had me nodding in agreement - i've been there on every count! However, I'm still having to pay (old scheme) almost £500 pm for one child (i earn less than £2k net a month so it's not like I'm rich) - a child for whose contact I have recently fought the scheming, lying pwc in court, to the tune of approx £4000.don't hate the player. hate the game.

As you state, you know the rules pretty well, I'd love to know more about how you fought back - I know my ex bends the rules while I'm straight as a die and end up getting hammered.0
