  • well im back on the flylady wagon after my mini meltdown. its amazing how quickly my house gets messed up when its just me and i cant be bothered.

on the wedding front ive decided to go ahead and plan that we are getting married next march. where we are getting married there shouldnt be any major issues with switching the date if needed (well apart from parental anger), photographer well im hoping he will understand the situation but his son is a friend of my brothers so we should be able to come to some arrangement on switching the date if he is free, if not im happy to loose the deposit on that. the only thing im quite concerned about is family coming over from different parts of the world and i dont know if they have already bought flights!

The office have tried to muck this up right from the start, OH doesnt get holiday as he is ment to do a 4 month on 3 month off rotation, but as they are very short staffed due to various reasons thats not looking likely. we planned it for march so that if he was kept on ship for a few extra weeks after his trip is supposed to be finished on the 4th January, it wouldnt matter and also as that is at the end of his 3 month off rotation, but i personally think its the office screwing him over as he had to fight to get some bonuses he was entitled to and whilst he was nice about it he did put his foot down with them.

also the office tried to mess the rotation up when we told them about the wedding as they wanted him to go back to sea on his leave time and end up being back for the start of march which we felt was cutting it fine as the first ship oh went on, the 2nd officer was on strike as his releif hadnt turned up so he could go and get married which again is why we tried to plan ahead. he did get home in time for his wedding, but about a day before the wedding and i dont want that stress.

him coming home for a weekend wont work because he works on oil and gas tankers if he is in the middle of the ocean its 2 weeks to port and then another 24/48 hours from there till he gets home.

so the big plan of action does include me emailing the office and speaking to whomever i need to come the start of feb if he hasnt any notice of his releif and letting them know that they were made aware of it back in may this year and if he isnt home in time then they are in breach of fundamental terms and conditions of the employment contract and also my ace card (which ive been getting organised the past couple of days in between melting down) but im keeping that close to my chest just in case it is needed.

but im feeling much more positive but have managed to spend a small fortune on making me feel better, didnt go to mad with takeaways and junk but have spent alot on make up and toiletries and spa treatments which im counting as wedding prep in my budget :p

Chutneys made and about to be potted up

Ran 35mins and restarted the Gateway to 8k today and it went much better this morning. It was lovely being out there at 7.15am seeing the early morning haze and autumn colours.

Next is pot up chutney, have a shower, go shopping when shops open and HHI

Thanks Jue - I am Sparkles! Not Fedup anymore!

Well I did 2 HHCs back to back and did the following.

    Cleared the drainer
    Put rubbish out
    Emptied TD and folded clothes
    Cleaned TD filter
    Emptied WM
    Hung clothes on line
    Reloaded WM
    Washed dishes

    That's about it I think.

Anyone want to join me for another HHC @ 9.15? This is a bit more of a civilised time for some people.

Bit off a diversion last night so took me longer to get home, forgot to put on my glasses so ended up with a sore head because of the car lights. So home, tablets and bed.

Rhys slept right through last night.:j:j:j

Kids nearly finished breaky and then there of to sunday school, then church after that. Plan to gut out DD's bedroom today and clear some clothes out. Need to do a meal plan later as well.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

I've sorted the clean laundry, got a load ready to go in the machine, opened the curtains and checked in for tomorrow morning's flight... I guess I should have some breakfast and get on with the other stuff that needs going. Might give the farmers' market a miss today as I've got so much to do.

Seafarers_wife - glad ur feelin better. Everything is do-able - it just sometimes takes some thinking about!

My plans have gone t*ts up. I've just found more wooly bears - on the curtains on the patio window. haven't drawn the curtains since last winter so don't know if they have been there all along or what? DH is out in his lycra again, so I will wait for him to return so that we can take them down together. They are heavy! Ho hum

At least Mr T won't be getting any more of my hard earned......
