  • Out of curiosity I searched on Amaz for a text book I would consider parting with - 30 listings at 1p!
I suspect that would be the same with most of the books I would part with.
  • Morning lovlies
its trying to brighten up here and this is my first day of a new start on things - well I can try:rotfl:

Juliejim hope you are feeling better today (((hugs)))
esmf well done with the flying:T and it will get easier now the more you do it.
vanilla hope you survive the day (((hugs))) and that Rhys will be more settled soon.
embb you can post anytime even if you are doing your own lists - nice to see you today anyway xx Thats fabulous news about the house getting renovated - I know it has always been the bugbear of your life so that will be great - it will be a fine chance for any decluttering too when you have to move out - brilliant I am soooooooooooooooooo pleased for you:j
hellyboo cramp is horrible I get it too - hope the time in the water eases your leg and the baby enjoys it - its so good fro them.
Aunty no honey you are not being silly at all - it is quite daunting until you get the hang of it - have you got books to do - if so i would start with amazon as the postage is all done for you and you only need a basic description and you just give your bank details so they can pay you - no extra paypal account to set up. do you have anybody that does ebay that could help you get started? If not maybe i will have to pop up and sort you out!!!!!:eek::eek: ETA yes I often find that 2 but 30 ahead of you is actually not too bad - I avoid it if there are more than 50! and I have had sales of books at reasonable prices even when there are 1p ones listed - people will look at your feedback too. so maybe try and do some thin paperbacks that you wont lose on with the set postage to get your feedback off the ground?

after a diversion of a phone call with a lovely flylady i must crack on - need to go find a list..........

    have a great day/ weekend
    love and hugs
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
Live each day as if its your last

  • In my experience it's never been worth listing books, but that might just be the kind of books I've looked at selling?

I have done well with other things though. Bundles of baby clothes go reasonably well, although not for mega money. Women's clothes do pretty well too if in good condition.

I have just listed 45 unused condoms on e bay - all out of date! :rotfl: thought they would come in for a hen party LOL
You would think I have a sad and lonely story to tell. Truth is, they weren't originally mine :rotfl:

    Crafty
re the e bay - start small then you start to get some good feedback quickly. I started by buying stuff (game cartridges for the kids) but that is NOT the way to go if you're decluttering!
I get my bubblewrap from the supermarket for free, it's used in veg crates, between prepacked mushrooms and similar. I always ask, though.
Read a few listings then you get the idea of the phrases people look for. I always point out we're non smokers (so buyers know parcels won't be whiffy) doubly important if you're selling clothes/fabric. I also warn buyers about my limited Post Office access - I can only post Thurs, Fri, Sat - as my listings usually end on a weekend they need to know I probably won't post until Thursday at the earliest. I leave feedback as soon as I have received payment. There a few of us on here who will, I'm sure, be happy to answer specifics.

Oh - I have discovered I can upload pics directly from my camera so no messing about storing files on the PC!

Never knew that - usually I only ever list on free listing, I sell so little. I wouldn't have discovered that at all if it hadn't been for the panic!

So this means I will get another 100 listings next month? Wow! and thanks!

Sort drainpipe out and either refit/repair/replace
Clear out guttering and fit gutterpillars

Never got round tothat coffee earlier as found my radiator foil panels that arrived this week on the kitchen chairs

All recycling done ready for collection on Tues

Just sat down with an early lunch to watch Nigella and have a break

Next plan is to complete the kitchen and bathroom list apart from the floors and the oven which I'm putting off for a bit longer

What else have I done - sorted the ironing out to do first thing in the morning, put another load of WM on, took the chicken out of the SC (cooked overnight) and sorted the meat from the bones.

Meat going into a pie and other meals, bones going into a stock with the chicken wings cooked last night to go in with them. Nice chicken stock coming up later or tomorrow - yummy - will think about what soup to use it up in

Might pop down to the local shop for a bit of veg later on after finished cleaning then might, just might get around to some reading for my course, might not though  Might go for a run instead later on :j
