Hey KP you can't say wedding but not give us the low down! Are you tying the knot. Do we need to get hats :j
Oh what lovely news. Loads of info on the net regarding budget weddings especially vintage shabby chic ones. And they look amazing. I would have loved a vintage style wedding.
Great to see that you seem so much more relaxed and laid back.

    Hi

Sorry thought Id let you all get over the shock:D. After the last few years the thought of actually getting married seemed as far away as ever!

OH and I are getting on really well, both happy and working together. I think the time apart really showed how much we want and need each other so petty squabbles arent important.I have found a new less stressful job it pays alot less so really need to get back into budgetting :money: The kids are much happier too:T. They dont say much (too involved being kids:D) but the little they have said and their actions show it.

He agreed to marry me when we got back together last year but I still had my doubts he would go through with it but he has and we are getting married next March in a a lovely registry office and having a nice evening do. Room booked and have friends rallying round to help with music hair and make up. Colour scheme is ivory and royal blue slightly unusual but not if you know us! Aiming for 2500-3000 as although I want budget I still want a reasonable day as it will be my one and only:happyhear. Its actually quite hard not to spend loads.

  • Aww that'll be great. No need to spend loads as you can do everything on a budget quite easily. How exciting for you.

  • One year on and happily married although as I feared the finances are at their worst ever. Now having to look at a Dmp. Really need to see reality rather than playing the ostrich.

It got so bad that I didnt know when or whats bills were due and interest now high because I had a couple of late payments where my pay day changed and I missed bank transfers to cover.

I will probably start a new thread because im going to have to start from scratch as a newbie.

I am in the same job which is good just doesn't pay enough but going back to my old job would cause too many issues.

  • Hello

Well im still using the cash manager app on my phone. Have all accounts including debts showing and have managed to add all transactions over the last few days.

I finally sat down and did the next budget step which was for this month alone. We can pay all bills :j but will have 70 to 75 a week fir everything else.

Ive told the family and im sure they will help. I need this to be a family effort or its too much alone.

CAn still sell stuff so will try to do that to build up an emergency funds inc birthdays and other adhoc spends.

    Still plodding!
