1) house
been good I have blitzed the kitchen but left the front room so not putting off the finances
the above are my way of doing other useful stuff but not dealing with the money side
2)finances
check bank and cc accounts and print recent statments mostly done
do a budget started and eek
work out the best way to piggy bank
set up spreadsheet and diary to monitor - started
discuss plans and agree with OH - not looking forward too
this is what seems so daunting yet is the most important
3)health
keep an eating and excerise diary WIP
look to meal and lunch plan and walk to work ongoing
think of a reward plan to motivate yet not blow budget
Getting there

Done some cc transfers at 0% until march next year so that will mean easy payments with little to no interest on my debt. The budget was tight and didnt allow for entertainment and other small spends that add up so this will help. Next step to work week to week allowing for a set amount to put by for the annual spends. Aim will be to transfer any weekly excess into the "savings/emergency/overpay" pot.
Looking to start rosemary connerly sp this week as its free to sign up so need to allow for that weekly expence.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -
Good show getting the balance transfers, at least what you pay will come straight off the totals. I hate paying interest :mad:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

ooops no update for two days but i have been good and diary for spending and food still going. Started Rosemary C today. I enjoyed the workout although coordination leaves alot to be desired. Thankfully not oo busy so I didnt fall into anyone!. More money moving and getting very close to finalising a budget for the next few months. I have decided what accounts will be used for what so thats part of the piggy banking bit ready just need to decide the budgets for food, entertainment etc.
MIT I dont like interest but I think that although Ive been lucky and avoided high interest I think it lulls me into a false sence of security so I think Im better off than I actually am. It was very worrying when I was out of a job even thankfully it was only for a bit.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -
KP I'm sure you know that at some point the balance transfers will dry up. Also think of the money you are paying out to transfer the balances. All money we could have in our pockets

Hello
Well I have done a budget and broken it into weekly amounts to match income. Have printed out statemetns from the piggy back accounts so just need to work out a starting point and move the money to the correct accounts. Im sure it will be easier once its done but seems quite daunting hence its taken me all this time with a bit of work each day,
Diet going ok managing to stick to reasonable calorie levels just need to add some exercise which will start Monday for work. Bought 7 celebrity slim soups for a fiver after seeing a thread on here so they should help and if I dont like them Ill flog em. Usual price £13-18 eek.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -
Well fist day and it went well work wise. A few other annoyances to deal with
1) budget not as good as I thought so needed a rethink in areas
2)large filling just fell out and dentist closed until 9am when im due at work
3) spilt a tomato based sauce on my shirt sleeve
Oh well I guess thats the 3 things and hoping thats it!!
Catch up tomorrow:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -
