Hello KP. Hope this year starts to get better for you and you can start 2012 with a bright new outlook. Like you I'm going to update my diary a bit more regularly. I can heartily recommend the frugal living thread for lots of support, great tips and wonderful camaraderie, though I know you get great support on your diary to.
One step at a time sugar and you can do it

Thanks guys
Spent a fair bit yesterday but most was playing pool with OH as we are trying to be a couple and not just parents. Guestimate. £15 pool £6 food. Sat was £2.30 to DD1 and £9 food/stuff.
Decluttering went out the window but I can live with that.
Todays to do list includes going through OHs budget together. Gonna try and persuade him to have a seperate bills and spends accounts. Then another day we will go through mine . He seems genuinly interested in letting me help him so another shock to my system! It wont be easy though. will report any progress later.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -
Well we have progress on his budget still a bit to do but its a good start. Taking some time as Im having to drip feed lol. Downside is I havent looked at mine and form the paperwork I have seen it isnt good
. Work and DD1 taking up my time today. DD1 is showing how frustating having a teen can be . Oh well a long chat and hopefully some improvement will be seen. :jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -
KP you have my sympathy on the teenager fronr. My dd was no bother but DS is an altogether different story. Attitude stinks, cheek is awful, slams doors etc etc I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Quite a shock to the system :eek:5 Year plan. Well finally come to the decision that I cant keep up with my job. Its just too much pressure and long hours. I moved company to try and remotivate myself and possibly reduce hours but Im just working even longer and feel like Im getting nowhere. So tired that family and money arent getting a look in. Have interview for an old job tomorrow but it means a massive pay cut. Money will be very tight and maybe even a dmp required but at least i will have time to actually care what i spend and plan rather than spend for an easy life or hibernate from the world.
Kids ok as usual there are such good uns well with school they play up at home!! OH is still working on his spending and we are getting on well when Im not so tired. I really hope this is the right decision it cant get any worse than i feel right now.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -
Aw KP. You've certainly been through the mill these last couple of years. It's certainly a big decision but it sounds like one you've thought about a lot. Hope all goes well with the interview tomorrow.
Take care huni.

Reasons to stay in job:
Good money
Car
may clear debt sooner
challanging so wont get bored
may struggle with money
Reasons to move
Too tired to enjoy social life including OH and kids
Kids, OH and house neglected so should be able to improve all of this
Feel ill at work
Dont need car and walking means I may go back to pre job weight
Enjoyed the people in the old job
Can have time and energy to plan moneysaving such as budgets, meal plans and carboots
Able to have time and energy to help Mum and see Sis
