Kdub the Insurers are likely to arrange a telephone interview or for someone to come out and interview you, the interview will normally involve "Cognitive Interview" techniques. This is basically questions that are designed to catch out liars, they will ask the same questions over again but in different ways and ask very detailed questions about what happened for instance they may ask what you were wearing. The theory is that a liar will not be able to answer the questions and / or will not have thought to make up a back story about what they were wearing. Someone trained in the technique can often spot someone who is lying which would then be fed back to the Insurer and they may then invoke more investigations.
The interview sounds scary but if you are not lying will be simple (Although will be a long interview) so is nothing to worry about.
They do these interviews a lot on certain types of claims (Often lap tops) and if other things arouse there suspicions of which a recently purchased second hand lap top will probably do.0 -
you mean theyl try to intimidate me lol im sure il be able to answer any of their questions, im in the middle of a psychology degree so good luck to them0

its awful really that they do that, i mean i know il be fine take more than that to rattle me but i imagine some frail old women being really scared lol not right to make innocent people feel like liars and cheats, especially when mos tof the cheating is on their part trying to worm out of paying what is owed0

It is not designed to intimidate you, it's a technique that is designed to work out if your telling the truth it is not 100% accurate but helps them. The police use the same technique on suspects and they also use it on witnesses to get the full details out of them.
You will probably find it helpful with your studies, if you google it there is plenty of information on the tinternet0 -
