    Me again:)

The plate I want is going on sale on the DVLA on the 7th Dec at 8.30am. It doesn't say it's an auction but I'm not really sure, does anybody know??

Or any tips on how to make sure I get the plate and nobody else??

    Thanks

Pay a catching service to try and buy it the microsecond it is released.

Similar to the drop catching services which domainers wishing to snap up expired domain names use. :)

When the plates go on sale it's FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED.
I suggest you have a list of a few numbers you would like in case your first choice is sold.

Why not get an old style registration number?
They look far more classy, nobody knows how old your car is and they are certainly a lot cheaper.

Sorry, I don't actually know if any exist for car registration numbers. I just know they do for domain names.

N.I plates can be had for as little as £20 plus the DVLA fee.

Makes you look different from the norm too.
