    It's a 120mb used (Disk it was written to is 4.7gb)

    No, I am sorry no, I did a HDD test and the original drive came back as afaulty, so have now had to buy a new one which I need Vista on, however I cannot write the disk

    Just been out to buy DVD-R Disks, Going to try them and see if they work.

    So your issue now is with you attempting to burn a full Vista Image?

    Perhaps you can tell something about the provenance of the image that you are trying to burn.

    It appears that we have moved on from that.

    It's just a matter of the OP trying to create a bootable disc from an image in order to install Vista on a new HDD.
