My debit card declined too and was contacted directly by the hotel to make payment soon after I made the booking. It is supposed to be paid in advance.

Regarding the extra tokens,kamayren, if there is no response then no one has an extra tokens. I have a booking early December. If they do not take the tokens off me I can pass these on. From previous experience of these type of offers, it depends on how much of a jobsworth the person on reception is!

As far as I know if you are going to one of the Days Inns who used to be Roadchef Premier Inns and you turn up without your token from the newspaper then you should still be able to get that rate. Not sure about the other Days Inns though! A friend who works in one told me!

I was not asked for any tokens for my recent stay but I think it is because I checked in so late at night. Nor did I offer them my tokens. Other receptionist might be a bit more on the ball so I have 2 spare tokens if anyone want them
