people should show some class, maturity and er...a bit of human decency and compassion you know?
Amazon made a mistake, and probably sent some out by mistake too. Their loss, someone's gain.
The rest of us got a nice free gift which I would not have felt obliged to do had I found hundreds of people trying to take advantage of one of my errors and then threatening me with legislation etc.
I'm disappointed with the cancellation, but I didnt even want an iPod that much and now I have £20 for nothing. I'm for one am willing to forgive them and will not be throwing any vouchers back in their face!0 -
I ordered 2 , I took many screen grabs and did not recieve either - just the 20 quid voucher. My brother is a lawyer and he said thats the best we will get as we have no legal position because money was not taken from out accounts0

There's a seller on eBay selling 15 of these. He's only listed one in the auction, but has included a picture of all 15 in his auction together with small plastic bags they came wrapped in.
As when I received mine, it came wrapped in a small plastic bag (just like the picture in his auction) and then inside a amazon box.
He/she listed them yesterday (due to finish in 9 days 10 hours). Coincidence???
I won't give the auction number. It's a buy it now auction.Nobody is more persuasive than a good listener.0 -
haha can't believe this.
I didn't receive a voucher, my order completely disappeared on Monday after a status change to 'preparing for dispatch' and ordering on Friday at around 9pm.
The guy said that he would offer me £5 discount!! The cheek! I mentioned that i knew of people who had received £20 and other people who had acutally received the iPod itself at the price £113.99. When I said that he basically called me a liar!
I flipped on the phone, I completely understand that this was a pricing error and I don't think anyone should be trying 2 take them all the way with this but to give everyone a £20 voucher or the iPod and offer me £5 is just disgusting.
The guys supervisor is going to ring back by the end of the day...
Anyone else having this problem or only me?0 -
biglugs wrote:Now now - calm down! Don't forget you have to pay £7.98 Ebay fees and £5.30 Paypal fees out of that, leaving you with a profit of £22.73. Deduct from that the cost of petrol or bus fares to get to the post office etc. and it's not much different.
In fact YOU don't have to take the time and hassle of having to put this on Ebay, post it, deal with any returns if it turns out to be defective, risk of the buyer shafting you with Paypal etc. You got £20 just for sitting on your backside so don't be too upset.
The PO is only 30 seconds walk from where I live. I've sold items over £200 with no problem.I don't even recall having to pay that much for ebay fees just for one item! I usually sell stuff when there is a free ebay listing going on
I also have a premier paypal account.
But anyway, there is no point debating over this on a forum.0 -

Well, I am well chuffed. I ordered mine at 9.01pm on the Friday night, fully aware that this was a pricing error, and fully expecting the order to be cancelled. And like the majority of us on here, had my order cancelled yesterday afternoon and have received my £20 voucher. :j :j
Well done Amazon - they did not have to do this - afterall, the OP clearly stated that this was a Misprice. And we are all now £20 richer for the experience.Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!

I've had something similar. I'm still pretty annoyed that I didn't get what I ordered, I got no cancellation e-mail, no voucher either. I wouldn't expect anything if some ppl got nothing, but everyone apart from me n SamRobins got nothing!
I'll be happy with a £20 voucher. It's better than nothing and like someone said, it's still £20 profit. Especially since their iPods seem to be cheaper than most other places too. Their 2Gb model is only £87.99, so that gives you a brand new 2nd Gen nano for £68.99. I could probably sell my 1st gen nano for more than that so all is not lost.0
