I have just got the same message. I have contacted our Trading Standards regarding this and they are going to look into it. They did say that unless the money has been taken from your account, then there is no contract and they can up the price if they want.

I have just checked with my bank and £113.99 was taken out of my account on Sunday. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE anyone who has had their orders cancelled or had the revised price hike, check with your bank. If they have taken your money you should still be in with a chance. Check before cancelling your order.

Might also be worth other people contacting their Trading Standards too. I have sent my screen shot that I saved when I placed my order.

My order hasn't been cancelled but the order status has just changed to needing approval. When I follow the links I've got to check tick the box to accept the 'new' price of £162.40!!!

I've had no email about it, I just keep checking my account on amazon :mad:

Edit....just noticed everybody else has had it too.

Just spoke with an Irish guy at Amazon who has said by tomorrow those with a lower price will be honoured (I dont beleive him). Apparently their systems are also down at the moment and they keep saying phone back in an hour (an hour ago). Looks very suspicious to me?!

I have also emailed to complain. Im hanging on neither approving nor canceling my order.

I have just phoned Amazon too. They told me to phone back in 2 hours as their systems are down.

well i just rang amazon and even after telling them that my "friends" have already had theirs delivered for the price of £114 they WILL NOT go down to that price, so people I guess its time to cancel orders!

mine arrived today. I ordered at 10.30 on Friday and paid approx £5 postage.What a result !

i got the usual approve price box, so closed the window.

Just logged back in and it now shows the new price !!! haven't approved it so what is going on, don't want it at the higher price. Can't call now as at work.

Oh btw what is the phone number ?

it may show its changed on the screen but if its showing it in red then you HAVE to approve it for it to go through so it is still in the "waiting approval" stage if the figure is showing it in red.

and for all the lucky people who got it for £114!!! you lucky barstools!!
