Ok, brave girl that I am :rotfl: will give it a go. This weekend I'm going to run through and cut/paste 'tips' to have as support and get whatever I don't already have in next weeks shop.

    And rustic . . . . I can do rustic. I also bake lots of things with . . . character :D

Character is good - if it's too perfect it just looks like it's been made by a machine, and that takes all the fun out of it.

Yes, I do cooking with character, too. ;)
Back after a very long break!

mine dried out a bit much:(, so thanks for that tip :)

Was that the one with the beef mince fat? If so, could that have anything to do with it?
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

When you steam it does the pastry stay soft? I have to say I love the crunchy outside when it's been baked. You have to fight me for the end bits. :p

OOoh, will be easy to do a veggie version as well with veggie suet, and a nice leek and mushroom filling! I also sometimes add grated cheddar to my dumplings as it makes them nice and cheesy, but you could add it to the filling here.
