If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

That looks lovely! :T
I'd warm it up in the oven myself - not a fan of microwavery.
Good to see you back anyway, thought you might be in a state of grief over the rugby.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -

That looks fabulous Mr BE! I'd reheat it in the oven, but only because I hate soggy pastry.

Well done. I assume you managed to have just the right amount of moisture in your suet pastry to roll it out OK? That is pretty much how your dumpling mix should be to have fluffy dumplings instead of soggy cannonballs.0

Yes - very careful with the water as the dumpling mix I made for the stew was a nightmare - I'd never have been able to roll that!If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Hey, WB MBE! Long time no cook!!
I did wonder if you were off somewhere with one of your female friends....Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
That's suet put on the shopping list. Can't wait to have bacon and onion roll like mum used to make. Aren't you glad it's winter?0

Make roll in same way as above, but instead of wrapping in foil, place on greased baking tray with the join underneath. Brush all over with beaten egg or milk.
Bake near top of moderately hot oven, gas 6, 400F or 200C for 30 to 40 minutes, when it will be crusty and golden.
Thanks Addiscomber (great name by the way - where does it come from?) - all the recipes sound delicious but I'm definitely trying this one this week! You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs:rotfl:
