  • Update from me -Still hanging on but in labour!

Woke up with mild but frequent contractions, which got more and more vicious. Went to the hospital and they were 2-3 minutes apart, they kept me in for 6 hours , and I had pethidine but as I was only 1cm dilated finally sent me home. Howling like a banshee and making unnatural noises all the way home, but they have relaxed to every 10 minutes and I much prefer being here bouncing on my ball watching, crap TV, and DH can get some sleep (He is really grumpy &i rrational when tired)

One thing is surprising is how clear headed I feel between contractions, I can still possibly have my Water Birth, BP was sky high but came down with the pain relief, so still very much an option.

So if you don't hear from me in a little while you can assume that the "Little Madam" is finally consenting to join us!
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before

    Hey Everyone

Aaahh been so busy doing fieldwork I have missed about 100 pages!! Hope everyone is so well. K4K seems to be progressing brilliantly. Just 10 days before I head back home from my big trip. Everything has gone wonderfully well so far. Thank you all for all the hand-holding and positive vibes.

Keep going Winky, I hope your labour is progressing well.
It's much nice to labour at home so I hope your BP doesn't shoot up too high again so you can have the water birth you want.
I had a hot bath (yes I know people say these can stop the contractions but I was so tired I thought it will either act as pain relief or slow things down for me to sleep :o) and lay in the water doing visualisations about climbing a mountain when the contraction started, getting to the peak when it peaked and then looking at the vista as it eased off. worked for me for some reason :o

    Good luck xx
