  • Oh, that was very respectful of MSE! I happened to F5 the screen at 11.00 and it popped up with a message saying "Lest we forget"...
  • Well, I am gladthat MSE did that. My bl**dy workplace didn't. :( Disgraceful. I have just fired off emails to the head honcho to tell him how appalling it is that no one (and I mean no one) stopped for the 2 minutes silence. I did. No one else did though. GRRRRRR> :(

  • Morning all.. hope you're having a good day! Good luck with the site and getting an address Olive!

Part of my 50 day challenge is to work out what I'm going to do next in the way of Philosophy courses - I have part of a degree and basically need to do the equivalent of third year to finish it. I work full time and giving up work to go back to Uni isn't an option. I've laid out all the options I can find on my diary but am still pretty confused so if anyone fancies helping me thrash out some ideas I would really appreciate you popping over to https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/38363860#Comment_38363860 before my head explodes!

    That is really awful :(
Thankfully where I used to work they sounded the fire alarms to signal the start and the end, I've even been known to pull the car over if I am driving too.

Glad you're having a better day, Claire. Good luck tomorrow. Hope the injection works for you.

I'm also going into the hossie tomorrow for surgery on my back. I was feeling quite laid back about it; but then yesterday I went for my pre-op assessment and it really freaked me out!! Need to take deep breaths and concentrate on (hopefully) being better at the end of it all.

    Take care everyone

Hope everyone is having a good day today!

Claire you seem to be swamped with washing! I don't want this to sound as though I'm a real dirtbag, but maybe step back and think about whether all those clothes really need to be washed, eg if something has been worn just once, or just for an evening or something, could it be worn again for a day at home or something like that? if you normally wash everything after wearing once and you manage to get two uses out of it instead, it halves your washing, makes your clothes last longer and is more environmentally friendly and cheaper too!

K4K: I haven't managed to collect any more since the last update (and I'm not on FB) but I will PM you DT

I do wear stuff twice, I've got a very dirty 13 year old plus the wet bedding to contend with, I'm always behind on the washing in the winter cause of trying to dry it :) I've got a load of whites in now and theres a load of coloureds then I'm finished, It hasn't helped either that this week I've been washing bathmats everyday too :(

Right off to do some more
