Count me in too for a separate Matrix forum, MG!

Me, too. (As long as it isn't on Facebook!)0

Sounds like a good idea MG, that way we wouldn't have to watch what we say and can discuss these things a bit more freely. Also, it could be kept private.

Claire earrings for Kits for kids are great! Can I make another jewellery suggestion to raise money either for KforK of for the Matrix fund? What about if MG were to pick a 'symbol' that would represent the matrix.... If Claire could then offer to make up things that incorporated this....earrings, elasticated bead bracelet with the symbol as a charm, necklace etc then we as followers of the thread/members of the matrix could buy them to wear as a sign of belonging and supporting MG, the matrix and everyone who this adventure has touched...whilst raising money and having something sparkly
I would happily buy something and I feel guilty about not being able to offer time so for me it would be WIN (offer support financially) WIN (ease my own guilt!) WIN (have something beautiful to wear!)
Thats one more WIN than was asked for !!
J xI'm up for a challenge
Hi, it's a good idea, but Claire's already doing one lot of charity earrings and she needs to make her own business pay for herself and her family, so is there anyone else who could go with the Matrix jewellery idea.I know a little bit about credit unions but nowhere near enough to be able to offer advice. Can any of the accountants help with the legalities etc. I am happy to invest in this idea if it means that women and men can tap into a fund to help get them started. I am sure that there will be business people (maybe your mentors) who will have experience of this. Can we recruit help from outside the matrix? I am thinking along the lines of a credit union expert - in exchange for us providing time to them. LETS is a great thing - we can set up our own group I think although they do usually tend to be for locals, I am sure that there is a way we can do something between us along the same lines.
Nice to hear someone else has heard of credit unions and LETS
I wonder what Mr Big is thinking when he's reading of all these originally socialist ideas of credit unions, LETS & Cooperatives, even if the idea in the long run is to promote more businesses which has a more capitalist flavour0 -
Yes - now off shopping in ALDI. Good stuff in there and tomorrow there will be silicon baking things...as advised by our cooking Sen-sei, MG herself (the one, who according to my son thaught me everything worth knowing, which comes down to making different kinds of bread).

I don't mind doing themBut if there is another jewellery artist who would like to take up the challenge go for it
As I said if anyone wants me to do it I Will. Specially if it helps the Matrix, afterall Its the matrix that gave me the confidence to do as much as I haveBoiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
I'm glad to hear from the posts that I'm not the only one who doesn't know how to use Facebook.0

MG I am so pleased that you have suggested this. I had started to worry that we were flouting the rules too.
I would like to keep this thread going and head back to the lovely posts of breadmaking, shabbying and other money saving ideas too.
If a discussion forum could be linked to the website then we could have different threads for different projects/discussions etc. It would make it much easier to follow discussions and not have lots of pages to trawl through when checking back on something. I have, in the past, been a member of one of these discussion boards (although it was about Great Danes) and found it really easy to look up discussions and advice. You had to be approved by moderators etc before joining and able to see the different strands.
As an aside thought I applaud you on supporting Martin's ethos of teaching youngsters financial planning. A thought has occured to me, as a thank you to Martin for allowing us to spread our wings via his site, is there some way that we could run (either as part of the day) or in conjunction with the day some kind of presentation around financial planning for the students and they could use the mind mapping skills that they have learned at that presentation. Perhaps Martin could be presenter or recommend somebody who could do some of the basics in a presentation.
