Ok been starting to look around. Firstly the matrix doesn't need to 'reinvent the wheel' so if we can just point people in the direction of existing sources of funding why not :)

First post about that is The Prince's Trust, lots of courses etc and grants for establishing new businesses:

    http://www.princes-trust.org.uk/site_pages/homepagetickertestie.aspx

It does have age 14-30 and other eligibility criteria:

    http://www.princes-trust.org.uk/need_help.aspx

Then there's the government schemes, which vary according to age etc.:

    http://www.acareerchange.co.uk/new-government-help-scheme-for-becoming-selfemployed.html

Then maybe the Matrix only needs to plug the gaps :)

    Morning All

Just caught up...Wow! Limited time and finances here but will contribute/buy something - unfortunately it will be towards the end of the week!

Claire earrings for Kits for kids are great! Can I make another jewellery suggestion to raise money either for KforK of for the Matrix fund? What about if MG were to pick a 'symbol' that would represent the matrix.... If Claire could then offer to make up things that incorporated this....earrings, elasticated bead bracelet with the symbol as a charm, necklace etc then we as followers of the thread/members of the matrix could buy them to wear as a sign of belonging and supporting MG, the matrix and everyone who this adventure has touched...whilst raising money and having something sparkly :D

I would happily buy something and I feel guilty about not being able to offer time so for me it would be WIN (offer support financially) WIN (ease my own guilt!) WIN (have something beautiful to wear!)

Thats one more WIN than was asked for !!

Good idea jc. I've not joined the matrix because I don't think I've got a lot to offer at the moment but I'm quite happy to invest or buy stuff.

    Hi MG and everybody

Having read all this diary and the previous one I want to stop lurking and tell you I think you are all amazing :) The feel-good energy that comes from here is a joy to the heart and never fails to lift me if I'm feeling down. Although I can't imagine how I could help the Matrix ( having no business skills and being too shy to ever knock on doors asking for anything) I hope no one minds if I hitch a lift on the back of the Matrix energy :)

My own request from the universe is for a new partner (I was widowed in 2008) so unless you all have single 50something brothers/fathers looking for lurve :rotfl:this is probably a strange place to spend much time lol, but for some reason the Matrix excites me and I ask very humbly if I may join .

I would like to make a (very) small donation towards the shipping costs of the football kit if anyone could tell me how I can do this?

    Thank you everyone
