Your new life starts right here, may it bring you everything you need and more :)

Claire - Get well soon, congrats on the "followers" I hope they generate lots of sales for you :)

Sorry I haven't been around much, life has got a bit complicated but I am reading and helping where I can, have sent an email asking for shirts, and so far have a only managed to get a pair of footie boots (are these still wanted?) as most of my friends are motorcyclists :(
I have also suggested claires page to all my facebook friends.
Is there anything else I can do that I have missed?

    Have a wonderful day everyone

OK - so guess how much sleep I got last night??:D

But at least I didn't have my old dream of bring chased by Daleks - or my new one of being snogged by cybermen.!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Thought after Friday I would be over my nerves, but this is different. Its more a "Christmas Morning" kind of fluttery feeling - rather than complete panic paralysis.

9.50 it "officially" happens and I signed off from a life on benefits. Hopefully never ever to return there.:j

What this last year has given me is a stronger appreciation of the "people" part of the equation in business - more importantly the "women in business" part of the equation.

I've spent most of my life in totally male dominated environments, theatre, drag clubs, on-tour with bands, speaking (from an office where I was the only girl), building development!!! And the work has been satisfying, ......................... but this is different.

I feel supported and I feel I can support. I feel I can contribute and can ask for others contribution. I feel I can ask for help and receive it. I feel I can have both wimpy wobbles and diva fits and no-one throws it back in your face - its more a "yeah!! yeah!! - move it on lady!!!!!":rotfl::rotfl:

You guys (collectively) have created something very special and powerful here ................................ and I am so excited for us all in the weeks, months and years to come. We are just feeling our way of how to make this work fantastically well for everyone and already truly amazing results are happening. I hoepe everyone at some point gets to release their "inner hedgehog":D

    So plan for today:

Mum has arrived to take car of the kids as DS1 is on half-term.

Job Centre at 9.50am (don' know how long it will take)

Back for well deserved cup of tea

Then I am going to spend the afternoon (between 12 and 4) alternately working with our lovely web-angel to implement some of your suggestions - and figuring out some "off the wall" marketing ideas to fill the Leeds, London and Manchester dates.....WHY?????

Because since 3.00 am I have been mind-mapping my heart out as to how I can really make the matrix a supernova of energy for everyone................... only Mr Big won't let me move on and spend some time doing it until I have "taken care of business" so to speak.

So "take care of business" I will,:p, but superquick because the end of the 100 day Challenge is looming large and I want to create this gift for you all on the 25th.

I'm so excited for you all - suddenly it becomes crystal clear how I can use all my past experiences and my past contacts to create something very, very useful for the Matrix Mama's :rotfl::rotfl:

Off to have a cup of coffee and a cuddle withmy boys before facing the Job Centre.

    Happy Monday you special peeps

    Morning MG,
sorry I havent been around (poorly sick) and not had chance to catch up with about 20 pages so will do that tomorrow.
In the meantime I wanted to say Welcome back to business. Dont worry about the JC. Having done the job that the person sitting opposite you this morning will be doing I can tell you that (on the whole) even the people sitting at that desk get a buzz out of seeing somebody signing off. It makes their whole day worthwhile (even when they havent had any input) so you will be bringing some joy to an otherwise miserable day.

No wobbles now, just butterflies in the tummy from excitement allowed today.

Did read your posts re Dr Who. I go to Cardiff a lot so get to see the programme being filmed. I remember one day sitting in a cafe in the bay and watching John Barrowman running on the spot. Very Surreal. I dont watch the programme as I dont own a tv. KCs story reminded me of a time when I was little. I was visiting a great Aunt in Chester and we went into the city. Radio Rentals had a dalek outside promoting themselves (I think I was about 9 and loved Dr Who then). Well my Aunty (who was in her late 60s) went potty and started shouting "the Daleks have landed -run -run -run" and she started running off up the road, I just laughed thinking that she was playing and my Nan told me off and started dragging me off up the street to catch up. We found her hiding round the corner. I found out later that she really believed that the Daleks had landed!!!! Many years later I realised that she was a very poorly lady but to this day when anyone mentions daleks I think of her and that day and it still makes me laugh.
Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher
  • This is sooooooooooo exciting will be thinking about you at 9.50 MG:j

Could you lot stop referring to David Tennant as DT you make me confussed (family word) first thing in the morning :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:mind you he is my favourite too.

Woke up this morning and a great contact for Kits for Kids jumped into my brain following a totally unrelated conversation this weekend so I will be doing my 15 minutes later and see what I can come up with:D

On the business front I have to accept that a supplier that I have sent an order to is probably going to let me down as despite an email acknowledging my order they have not arrived and no one is answering the phone :( not a huge amount of money lost:mad: (lesson learnt make sure my order is over £100 not just under £100 so I can claim on my credit card or use paypal :o) just the inconvenience of the time wasted and the fact i will have to reorder today from elsewhere.

Logo and website are moving forwards and I have applied for some accounts with some suppliers so hopefully will be able to launch soon:D

Right off for a whizz round some threads and then do some work.

Have a great day everyone but especially MG

DTxx (no not that one the other one:D)
  • Hi again

Not 5 minutes after I posted saying I had been unable to get any football shirts, I log on to my emails to find this

"What age groups does it cover? I am chairman of East Hendred AFC and we have some full sets of football kit but in adult sizes. They may fit some teenagers?!! "

Could someone please let me know if these are of any use, if so will make sure they are collected :)

    Many thanks

    They'd be useful :j:j:j

I'm awaiting my last ditch chance of borrowing warehouse space this morning.

After that......either I pay, or we go with the suggestion that the shirts are collected into batches at various places around the UK and then sent directly to the docks........or I use our spare bedroom (must get DD to move the e-bay stuff first......)

Feeling a failure this morning :(
Even the web-site meeting scheduled for tomorrow has now been postponed :(:(
